Description: Located right next to the Palais des Congres convention center and the Avenue des Ternes, Chez Georges offers the elegance and conviviality of an authentic Parisian brasserie. Here, the great classics of French cuisine are brilliantly executed as tasty, refined meals. A legendary meeting place for the 17th arrondissement, Chez Georges dates back to 1926. Its up-market, traditional cuisine and tableside service have made it one of Paris' must-visit brasseries. Designed by the architect and decorator Slavik, star of the 70s, the decor at Chez Georges pays tribute to Art Nouveau, with leather banquettes, silverware, wood and copper to give the restaurant a warm and elegant atmosphere.

I went in with high expectations... They were handsomely surpassed !
Their great cuisine is match with good, attentive service (yes, in Paris).
I am fond of variety foods... they have some terrific choices in this field.
Try their Gigot D'Agneau, the Terrine de Pata Negra, and the Cocotte de Ris de Veau.
Bon Appetite!

We were in Paris for my friend's 40th birthday treat and so I wanted a restaurant that was going to be memorable with fantastic food. Chez Georges ticked all the boxes. The staff were brilliant and very accommodating with both french and english menus available. The food was delicious and had a good choice of traditional French dishes to choose from. Topped with a few glasses of house champagne in an art deco surrounding, I couldn't have asked for a better lunch. A truly memorable meal and one my friend and I will be talking about for some time. I will definitely return next time in Paris.

We enjoyed our dinner here during our vacation; easy to reach, not far from the metro stop. Foie gras, veal chop, steak tartare and profiteroles were meal highlights; the steak with peppercorns and frites at the next table looked very good too. Friendly and efficient service provided, I would recommend Chez Georges. (Note that there are evidently two restaurants in town with the same name.)

Full of expectation following a glowing review by Jay Rayner, I decided to come and eat, the menu looked inviting but was anything but.....
Good rillettes as an amuse bouches
The fresh White asparagus was actually fermenting , changed for Pate en croute should have known better soggy tasted of fridge just yuk.....sent back
Third starter I was lucky that the snails were actually quite good
Filet au poivre ordered rare, badly cooked not rested, meat quality very average, sauce ok the fresh pommes frites were actually the best part of the meal
To finish a good baba au rhum
Service ranged from good to down right rude to other guests
Compared to other meals that I sampled on this visit to Paris this was very very poor apparently the Head chef was on holiday, but scant consolation as the bill even with "free starters" was in excess of 150 euros with two modest half bottles of wine, avoid as there are much better Brasseries in Paris
