Wit was raining pretty hard and it was lunchtime. We were treated very well, amidst well-dressed Frenchmen in impeccable suits and a pair of well-coiffed, politically minded French ladies. The room is lovely, but no tower view from where we sat. Fortunately, they were happy to serve us the more inexpensive things on the menu and with graciousness. Food was unremarkable, but then we merely had a croque Monsieur and some smoked salmon as a light lunch to wait out the rain. Expensive, seems to be a place where the well-heeled go, but service was impeccable even for our meager order. Food was average, but we were glad they had those items. Sparkling clean and well decorated, we later saw it was bustling around 1-2 pm, probably local lunchtime, again lots of business suits. Fun to overhear snippets of conversation about economics and French geopolitics.
