After visiting Notre Dame and wandering around the area for a bit we stopped here for a spot of light lunch and were encouraged by how busy it was and how friendly the staff were. The waiters soon showed us to a tiny table - was delighted that the couple at the next table left quite soon as I was nearly sitting on his knee! Chairs & tables have seen better days. Ordered basic food, croque monsieur & ham & cheese baguette, and easily could have bought these at a stall further up the road for a fraction of the price and taste just as good if not better. My husband ordered a large beer which is usually the 50cl option in every other cafe/restaurant - here it was about 150cl @ 15 euros! Also brought me a large drink which he did not give me the option of when taking order. The table across from us ordered chicken burgers and had to complain about them and send them back. Wished I had visited the toilets before we ordered as I would have went elsewhere for food. They were a complete mess. Must not have been looked at since early in the morning (we visited about 3.00pm). A real tourist trap and rip off.
