The evening did not start too well as there was a muddle over the booking. However they found a table for us and whilst we were waiting our party of 4 people were offered 2 glasses of champagne each. The menu has an excellent and varied choice but not too many and we settled for a main course and a dessert. The 2 ladies in our party chose the lobster. The bill including glass of wine each was a shade over 40 euros. Excellent service and welcoming.

Again, we had seen the reviews of this place on Trip Advisor. This is the best restaurant we went to in a month in Paris. Our first visit was a Friday lunchtime, no reservation but they fitted us in. As is becoming usual in Paris these days, as soon as they realised we were not French (despite our best French efforts!), they spoke to us in English but allowed us to continue our "best efforts". :) The service was very friendly and cheerful.
We had the formule with starters of Gaspacho soup (wonderful) and aubergine stuffed with goats cheese. For mains we had rump steak and hake; both cooked to perfection.
On our return visit, we had the same starters, as we enjoyed them so much the first time. Mains were roast chicken and bream. Excellent. We then indulged and had café gourmand, having seen the soldiers on the next table order it (both times we were there). It was fabulous. All washed down with a tasty bottle of Bordeaux.
We would go back but we're off home tomorrow.

Pasco –74 Boulevard de la Tour- Maubourg
We went to Pasco on our last night in Paris based on recommendations from Trip Advisor – it was the best meal we had in Paris! We were warmly greeted; the service was excellent --attentive without being overbearing; the dishes we ordered were beautifully plated and delicious. The salmon melted in my mouth and the tuna was very fresh and cooked to perfection.
As far as price, It was not expensive by Paris standard and very good value for "Euro". Pasco is located about a 15 minute walk from the Eiffel Tower … a beautiful end to our wonderful 7 day visit… dinner at Pasco and up the Eiffel Tower for the view then down again to see the glittering tower lit up – it doesn’t get much better than that!

This is a cozy restaurant opened by two "pascal"'s about 10 years ago. We had a lunch menu for 18 euros that included an entree, a glass of wine and a coffee. For the entree, we tried the fish (yellow Lieu) and the Andouillette de Vire. Both were very tasty. The wine was a red Cotes de Provence that was outstanding and coffee was very good, coming with a piece of nougat. The service was very courteous and happy, the tables and brick arched walls inside were beautiful, and there was nothing stuffy about the place despite the quality of design.

The restaurant is about 5 minutes on foot from Ecole Militaire. There are two other restaurants on the way to this one, one of which has north african gourmet food such as couscous and tajin with an average of 25 euros per meal, which is quite a lot for that kind of food. But probably worth a try next time?!
