“Never disappoints”
Reviewed June 7, 2012 via mobile

A laid back bistro with a great camembert you should be ordering. Otherwise changing menu with interesting home made-type food. Sit down, shares bottle of vine and chat over good food that never disappoints.

“Nice food and service”
Reviewed May 11, 2012

A small place but cosy, nice food - try the camembert with honey. Nice and helpful service, they changed our wine without any problem when we complained that we didn't like the first bottle.

“Great!!”
Reviewed May 2, 2012

We had a very lovely meal here. The atmosphere was great, really chilled. The staff were attentive without being overbearing. The best food we had in Paris during our whole stay (not a sight of ham and cheese!). Not cheap, cheap, but certainly the best value for money that we came across. We would definitely return.

“Lively litle bistro”
Reviewed March 11, 2012

It's a lively little place with a reasonably varied french menu. The service was good and the waiter helpful. I thought he didn't speak english so we struggled through the ordering but later discovered he spoke it fine. He served me a small glass of wine at nearly 7 euros which I though rather steep, however it was one of the best wines I've ever tasted so can't complain too much. We only had a main course and dessert plus a glass of wine each but the bill still came to 65 euros which was quite expensive although in that area it seems quite easy to pay a lot. The food was good but I wouldn't say fantastically so and you can pay more for food that isn't any better or worse. I paid about 9 euros the day before for a bowl of onion soup, which when I took out the bread crust had about six spoons of liquid. I generally find getting what you pay for in Paris a bit hit and miss

“Sit at the bar & chat with the staff!”
Reviewed December 18, 2011

If you're in Montmartre alone, stop in at Cafe Burq to visit amazing bar personalities Carole & Mohammed. Carole will show you the best local wine & tell you to avoid the many bad Cotes Du Rhone that other bars push. Have the special baked brie and honey with garlicky greens. Fantastic!
