Description: The famous Bouillon Racine is in the district of the celebrated Parisian university of the Sorbonne. This splendid brasserie was created in the art nouveau style by the Chartier brothers in 1906. The building itself is a listed building and the interior has been painstakingly renovated to its former splendour. The chef Alexandre Belthoise proposes a menu mixing modern and traditional French with specialities such as stuffed milk pig, beef stew or the creme brulee flavoured with maple syrup. The Bouillon Racine takes you on a wonderful journey through time back to the Paris of the 1900s.

Beautiful historical place with great staff and attentive service. We had a business group of 8 people, so a fixed menu. They did a nice job for sure. Started with a cold avacado soup, then a fish dish, and the best creme brulee I ever ate. Very nice and they did well handling the crowded conditions.

We had a wonderful evening of delicious French food here. We had escargot to start that was perfection. Main course was suckling duck that melts in your mouth followed by waffle with cream brûlée caramelized to perfection. The wait staff were wonderful. Location is handicap friendly. We went at 7 pm and didn't need a reservation, but if you want to go later in the evening I would recommend a reservation. There was a stunning bouquet of fresh gladiolus when you first entered the restaurant. Prices were reasonable. Three course meal with wine for two cost $110 euros. Highly recommend for a relaxed evening of good food and enchanting atmosphere.

Well its Paris. So, in this place, expect the usual: great food, wonderful decor and rude staff. The guy was much like a stern headmaster! Go for the pluma of pata negra, de-lish.

Food was correct in my opinion, a little but more complex than traditional brasserie food but not too complicated as well. Globally not a bad deal for the price, the real nice aspect is the look of the restaurant and the service.

Very nice decor. Food is good, you can taste all the famous and classic French dishes. Ok for groups. Good service. Good Location, between Quarter Latin and Saint Germain.
