Description: Bistrot de l'oulette is a local institution in Le Marais, this bistrot is ideally placed between la bastille and place des vosges, with it's authentic menu from the south west of france , it is a must if you want to enjoy the flavours of the re-visited fundamentals of french cuisine from foie gras to cassoulet. With no pretention, it is one of the best adresses in paris for it's price.

This was our second time at the L'Oulette and again we had a wonderful meal! We first discovered the Bristrot during the summer of 2015 during a family visit to Paris and had a wonderful dinner then. This time we visited Paris again and enjoyed an excellent French meal at L'Oulette with our large group (6 adults, 4 kids all under 5). All the dishes from our group were fantastic! These included the escargot (our favorite), duck (all the options available) and vegetarian tart.

Paris is a hard place to find actual french restaurants that compliment the city, but this small Bistrot has buckets of charm. The location is excellent, located on a lively street, with excellent wine bars nearby. The service was excellent, the waiter was informative and passionate about the food he served us, and we felt treated with the escargot, foie gras, duck confit, and guinea fowl stew, the desserts are also to die for, we tried the strawberry tart, and the apple filo pastry, both were delicious. The wine recommendation went perfectly with the meal, and the bill was very pleasing. A perfect french dinner, something that's very hard to come by in Paris.

We had the €36? (Thereabouts) set menu. All the food was really good but there were some absolute highlights. Try the confit duck.

The standout was the White chocolate soup dessert. Possibly the best dessert both me and my wife have ever had.

Good wines and friendly service. Put it on the agenda and make a booking.

We have been visiting for several years now, and tonight was the worst dinner I have had in a long time. Overcooked, badly prepped. The service was good, and the wines charming. But there is something awry in the kitchen. Overall I felt only sadness for the food.

Based on the good reviews here we went there.
It's a little bistro with a semi open kitchen. The menu is just right not to little and not to many dishes.
Friendly but a bit reserved waiter.
The food was good but not excellent.
Just a nice bistro with good food in a great area.
