“Too many other restaurants in town to be a repeat place!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 6, 2013

I've eaten here twice, and the truth is that although the dishes were well-cooked, there was nothing truly special about this place. It is a nice old Paris style restaurant (just like many other larger ones around the city) and perhaps its strong point is the traditional French fare, but if you are not into tripes or strong stuff, the other dishes are on the expensive side for what you get. Very touristy.

“Good food and great service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 5, 2012

We visited early on a Saturday evening when in Paris for a family weekend. This restaurant was recommended by a colleague who had visited previously for a business dinner. Suitable for business or holiday meal - great old fashioned Paris brasserie feel.

Everyone enjoyed the beef and they had a children's menu - steak (hamburger steak like) which she throughly enjoyed! Great service and saw a variety of people dining - single tables, family tables, large parties, etc.

Didn't hear very many English speakers as customers but that added to the ambiance and waiters were very helpful!

“Solid local bistrot.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 22, 2012

Was in Paris for a weekend on business, and had dinner here on a Saturday night with friends from The Netherlands, at their suggestion. Pleasant ambience and professional service. It was very busy while we were there; it obviously is a "restaurant du quartier", or neighbourhood restaurant, and the people around us were locals, who were pleased to give us a history of this old, quite lovely building. The food was good, solid bistrot cooking with no big surprises but good quality food, well-prepared and well-served. I was a guest of my friends, so I don't know the total bill, which included a bottle of Sancerre, but judging from the menu the dishes were fairly priced.

We had an early dinner and the food was excellent. Especially the fish and oysters were great. The house wine is OK
