I spent hours and hours reviewing hotels on Trip Advisor before deciding on Hotel Wilson Opera. This 4 day / 3 night trip was a surprise wedding anniversary for my wife so I had to get it right !

I booked a couple of months in advance for a "superior double with balcony" and also requested that flowers and chocolates would be in the room. Communication with the staff was excellent and I always had a prompt response - often within a few minutes. Both Baptiste and Zozan in particular were very helpful.

Ahead of our stay I asked for advice on travelling to the hotel from Gare du Nord (which happens to take just 5 mins on the RER to Saint Lazare which is just around the corner from the hotel) Again I received great advice and help

We had room 503 - which has a fabulous balcony which stretches around two sides of the room and to the front - with an excellent view of the Eiffel Tower - FABULOUS

The room really was soundproof - didn't hear a thing from other rooms or the outdoors, yet there are two glass doors leading to the balcony (there are chairs and a table)

The bed was really comfy and there was plenty enough room for our suitcases, a wardrobe and really easy to use safe.

The bathroom was very modern with an excellent rain shower.

Location - excellent. Less than 5 minutes to Saint Lazare and metro station, but we opted to walk to a lot of places so we could take in more of Paris. I'd suggest 50 minutes to the Eiffel Tower including the occasional shop window viewing and photo taking, around 15 minutes to Champs Elysees (and Christmas market at this time of year) and roughly the same to Galleries Lafayette.

There are many good restaurants, bistro's and the like in less than 5 minutes walk

All in all a really great hotel, fantastic room and very good service. When we return to Paris, this is where we will book again !

Room Tip: If you are booking a room with a balcony I suggest calling ahead / emailing to see if you can get ro...

Great location for train & metro, nice area, close to sights, the actual hotel was spotlessly clean, very well, contemporarily decorated, the staff were amazing and the rates were reasonable. Highly recommend!!

Weekend in Paris with girlfriend - Room 504 ("Superior Balcony") - View of Eiffel Tower - Local to nice restaurants/bars - Great Access into City Centre by foot or metro/train (probably also bus but cant say we travelled on a bus all weekend)

Staff were very welcoming and always keen to help - 10/10

As you will read elsewhere the rooms are small however you should not feel cramped at all.

Room 503 is the room photographed in the main image - recommend requesting this room as it has the largest balcony and I suspect a view of the tower equal to the view available on our balcony.

Not all rooms have bath tubs, ours was just a (very nice) shower unit so make sure you request a room w. bath if this is desired.

Room Tip: Room 503 is the room photographed in the main image - recommend requesting this room as it has the l...

We spent 3 nights here in room 503, a superior room with balcony and view of the Eiffel Tower in the distance.

As everyone before has said, the rooms are compact, but the bed is very comfortable, the shower cubicle in our room was fabulous with a rain-head shower and separate hand-held shower and best of all, great water pressure. I could have spent all day in that shower if it had a seat!! :-)

We opted to eat breakfast in the hotel's basement breakfast room and did not regret it. Fresh baked croissants, baguettes and pastries, plus the usual toast etc. So many different cheeses, I cannot remember them all, many types of charcuteries hams, jams, eggs, sausages, wonderful fresh orange juice, and a Nespresso coffee machine. Fabulous!

Staff are all wonderful, smiling and helpful.

The location is great and we walked everywhere - Montmartre, The Latin Quarter, The Christmas Markets on the Champs Elysees, using the great map provided by reception, yet it was quiet and we got a great nights sleep.

If I had one small niggle is would be to ask for some "modesty" curtains on the full length frosted glass bathroom windows. They may have been frosted, but when it was dark outside and the lights were on in the bathroom, I felt like I was "on display" for the whole world to see!!

Would happily return here again!

Room Tip: higher floors quieter and better views

We stayed here in December 2013. On arrival the small entrance and equally compact rooms were a little daunting. However the overall cleanliness, friendly and very helpful staff more than compensated. A great little reasonably priced place to stay, right around the corner from the Opera House and the railway station.

My husband and I just returned from a 4 night stay at this cute boutique hotel. You can't go wrong staying here. The staff was always so helpful. Anytime we needed to go somewhere, they would print out directions for walking, or write down which metro to take. The metro stop is just around the corner too. Rooms were always clean. Don't forget, you're in Paris...the room is small, but it's very quaint. I also wanted to share that a button popped off my jacket, and the concierge walked me right around the corner to this nice little tailor man. He sewed my button in 2 minutes. It was awesome. Most hotels would tell you to go right, this direction, and theres the store....being that we don't know french, it was great that he walked us right up to it.

The ONLY thing I would say to change is....more english speaking channels! The time we were in the room, it was CNN as an option only lol. Very minor complaint because like I said, it was all just fabulous.

Bonjour,

Thank you very much for your comment, it is always great for the whole team to get feedback from satisfied customers, it makes us very happy.

The service is very important to us, we attach a great importance.

The cleanliness and comfort of the bedding are our top priorities. (Even if our rooms are not very big!)

The Hotel Wo is conveniently located just 8 minutes from Boulevard Haussmann and 2 stops from the Champs Elysées. Many subway lines interconnect at the Saint Lazare Station is 2 minutes’ walk from the hotel.

The entire team wishes you a Merry Christmas!

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at any time.
