My friends and I booked rooms at the hotel through Budgetplaces - we had a double room for the first night and triple room for subsequent nights. Arrival at the hotel was not difficult as it is a 15 minutes walk from Gare du Nord (the main railway station) and 15 seconds (just across the road) away from the nearest metro Jaures station. We arrived earlier than the stipulated check-in time but the lady receptionist was nice and allowed us to proceed to our rooms immediately. The receptionist speaks very fluent English so there is no problems at all throughout our stay.

Our double room was pretty alright in size - there was a reasonably sized double bed, a table and two chairs, a wardrobe, tv, an ensuite toilet and some walking space left. In contrast, our triple room was huge and spacious - there were two double beds, tables and chairs, wardrobe and tv, ensuite toilet and lots of walking space. I would highly recommend the triple room for 3-4 people. The toilet was clean and water pressure and temperature was good enough. However, there is no shower curtain/door so some water may get onto the toilet floor. Only on our last night were we provided with a shower floormat. Towels and hangers were provided, although there is no hairdryer in either of our rooms. Rooms were made up everyday as well.

The location of the hotel was pretty good, being just across a small road from the Jaures metro - from which you can pretty much access all of Paris by navigating the confusing metro system. We did not have breakfast at the hotel so I can't comment on that, but there is a nice patisserie just across the road from the hotel as well where you can get a quick quiche, croissant or pain au chocolate for very reasonable prices. There is also a supermarket nearby for any groceries you need. Within the same building as the hotel is a McDonald's - can't remember if it is 24 hours but I have never seen it closed. Note that the hotel charges for WiFi usage, but the receptionist was kind enough to inform us that if we really wanted free WiFi we could pop by the McDonald's next door - where it worked perfectly. Nonetheless, the lack of free WiFi within the hotel is unfortunate and is pretty much the only reason that I have not rated the hotel 5 stars.

I would highly recommend this hotel if you are on a budget and want a clean and well-located accommodation in Paris.

Sits 20 metres from the metro
Excellent easy put stop to get to Paris cheap
Rooms are adequate don't expect too much inside buts there's a tv and shower and its very clean that's it really
If you want plush don't go here
But if u want a bed that's clean you will find it very hard to beat
It's about 35-40 mins on the tube to get to the Latin quarter or the louvre enjoy

Very convenient both for price and location, the hotel is situated in the nice area of Canal Saint-Martin. Jaurès metro station is just in front of it (you only need to cross the road) and you can reach the city centre in about ten minutes. Moreover, Gare du Nord is about 15-20 mins walk from the hotel, which is really good for those arriving in Paris by train from Charles De Gaulle airport. As to the hotel itself, it was definitely worth what I paid for it..50€ per night for an ensuite bedroom is kind of a bargain in Paris, plus the room and the bathroom were spacious and had everything I needed. The guys at the reception were nice and kindly kept my suitcase on my last day in Paris, as I had a late flight and obviously couldn´t carry any luggage while sightseeing. Only one of the guys spoke English, so be prepared to that and learn a few French words. But after all who said the whole world has to speak English? I think visitors should adapt themselves to local customs and language instead!:)

A basic hotel, with no frills, clean and with very nice staff, through some receptionist speak only french. My room was comfortable enough for one person and had a wonderful view on Paris. No breakfast included, but the Mc Donald's next door serves an acceptable continental breakfast for 2.50 euros.
It's very close to the Metro Station Jaurés, so it' easy to get to al the main tourist attractions. I also reccommend a walk in the Buttes Chaumont Park, which is 10 minutes from the hotel. The neighborhood is not as bad as some reviews say.
Excellent quality for 60 euros per night!

Room Tip: I recommend to ask for a room at a high floor, because the street is very noisy. From the 7th floor...
