If you have a congress in the Palais des Congres in Paris, you do NOT want to stay in the Lafayette congres hotel (it is a mega hotel, low quality and expensive). Instead, this is the perfect alternative. It is in a side street, but literally accross the street from the Palais des Congres (take exit 3 Paris side, cross the road, walk 50 meters and you are there), next to the Meridien hotel. It belongs to the Small Luxury Hotels of the World chain. The price I paid was approx. 2/3 of the congress hotel mentioned. I read the comment that the rooms are somewhat small, but I found my room to be OK; perhaps smallish if you are used to non-big city hotels. For Paris/London standards, I would say the size is fine. The quality of the decor, the personal service, the honesty bar, nespresso machine in your room, free wifi in the room and the bar, make this the perfect alternative to the large congress hotels. The only I had was with the refilling of the mini bar. It is very near the Porte Maillot metro station, and the Arc the Triomphe is in walking distance. Several types of restaurants and brasseries are around the corner in the neighbourhood. It is conveniently located near the Peripherique. Without traffic jam, the Charles de Gaulle airport is less than 30 minutes by taxi.

It seems everything has been said about this hotel. It's stylish, truly boutique, in a very good location and has exceptional staff.

If one is a true believer in 'form follows function' then you may have 1 or 2 issues with some of the installations that are more about design than about being practical (see how long it takes you to figure out the water taps in the bathroom).

All in all this is a fabulous little hotel with friendly, competent and accessible staff. The finishing of the rooms is quite extraordinary and even though they are not big everything is there. I enjoyed the little gimmicks like daily weather forecast and pillow spray.

The staff are super friendly and service oriented. As an example, when we needed a nanny the hotel organized a fabulous young lady for our 3-year old daughter.

Probably the best part is to have the breakfast delivered to your bedroom. Make your selection and choose the time and hang the form onto your door. The following morning you will spoil yourself to a fantastic breakfast in bed.

We stayed there for three days and liked it very much. It was VERY clean and they pay lot of attention to details. Every floor has not more than 4 or 5 rooms, which is nice, so there's not always 10,000 people on the hallways.

That brings me to the next point: it was really, really quiet. I think it's because it lies in a very short sidestreet.

Our room was very small, but it did not bother once, because of its clever design and Layout. Nice touch: every room has a own Nespresso machine with free coffee/tea. The bathroom is very nice. Modern, very clean and with lots of cleverly placed mirrors (so that it seemed much bigger than it actually was).

Even when this little gem of a hotel is not in the heart of paris, at least it is very near to the metro line 1, which is one of the most important lines to get everywhere quick.

We loved it.

I just got back from five nights in Paris and had the time of my life. Les Jardins de la Villa was responsible in large part for my enjoyment. As most of these reviews note, it's a true boutique hotel--five floors with, as I recall, four rooms per floor. So the feel is intimate and cozy. I stayed in a suite on the top floor. It was not a suite in the classic sense of the word--there was only one main room and I didn't have a couch or any other true living room furniture. But it was perfect for my needs, comfortable and beautifully decorated. Even the bathroom was a treat with a rain forest showerhead and a tub that was literally big enough for me to float in (and I'm 5'5"). Everything is of excellent quality, with all the little touches that make a difference--a Nespresso machine in the room, chocolates every night and lavender scented spray for the pillows. The staff is so welcoming and kind, and really go out of their way to see to your needs. The location is terrific. I've seen some concern voiced that the hotel is off the beaten path. It may not be located on the Champs Elysees. But it's only a ten minute walk to the Arch de Triomphe and the metro is half a block away. You can be at the Louvre in 15 minutes. There are also several excellent bistros within a few minutes walk, and a fairly large mall under the Palais des Congres where you can find a Paul's, a market and other services. I loved the neighborhood. It was quiet enough that I slept with my windows open every night and had no trouble falling to sleep. This is an absolutely wonderful haven after a busy day of shopping and sightseeing. When I return to Paris, I know Les Jardins de la Villa will be my first choice when it comes to choosing a hotel.

I took my girlfriend here for a surprise birthday weekend. This hotel was great. The rooms were clean, and well presented, the decor was perfect, the shower was amazing and the bed extremely comfortable. Friendly helpful staff, and close to a metro station on the 'central' line.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we unfortunately had to leave, everything was perfect. The rooms were impeccably clean (and I'm very fussy), the service and staff were always there with a smile and eager to help with anything we needed. The breakfast was delicious and reasonable. The beds were extremely comfortable. I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. I had booked three rooms for 8 of us traveling together and we all felt this was a very special hotel.

Located in a quiet discreet street, a stone’s throw away from the Champs-Elysees and Pal- ais des Congres, Les Jardins de la Villa is the perfect pied-a-terre for your business, shopping or sightseeing trip. Conceived as a large private villa with a decidedly cou- ture air, this elegant 4-star hotel embodies Parisian chic with humour and fantasy. A subtle fusion of secret garden poetry, Art and details evocative of the fashion world, the rooms and suites boast sober or auda- cious colour palettes. Each space is a genuine luxury cocoon where guests will treasure the careful attention to detail. Some open toward blooming ower terraces, others toward the dream-like patio. As soon as spring blossoms, the winter garden’s roof is removed to let sunshine drench the sculp- tural vegetation – another hidden treasure right in the middle of Paris. ... more   less
