We stayed at this hotel for a long weekend and loved it! The front desk staff offer fabulous recommendations for restaurants in the area. The rooms are interesting and well appointed, although not large, they are average for Paris.

This hotel is fantastic and made our experience in this wonderful city even more enjoyable. Staff was extremely nice and helpful, giving us great restaurant recommendations. The rooms are tiny but carefully arranged and super clean. It is very close to Luxembourg Gardens so the walking in the area is as romantic as it could be.
For sure, this hotel is going to be our hotel everytime we return to Paris!

Dear guests,
First of all we would like to thank you for taking the time to share your experience in our hotel.
We were delighted to read that you really enjoyed your stay.
The neighborhood of our hotel is indeed typically Parisian with lots of bistros, restaurants and of course the romantic Jardin du Luxembourg and Saint Germain des Prés, all within walking distance.
Our staff is always happy to give tips to our guests for restaurants and brasseries.
We sincerely hope to have the pleasure to welcome you again in our hotel.
Best regards,
Charlotte and Laurent Inchauspé

I went with my friend and colleague Mel for a few nights break this summer. We had a wonderful time. The hotel is bijou, but beautifully and sensibly designed to feel larger than it is, and has lovely dark shades of purples, golds, and wood browns in the lobby and eating area. It felt cosy.

We had a twin room, which was extremely comfy (the pillows and mattresses, mmmmmmm). Mel was a little surprised by exactly how close the beds were together, but this is Paris after all and space is at a premium, and well we know each other well enough now.

As she is a Mr and Mrs Smith member, on arrival there was macaroons and champagne.I'd recommend this as a wonderful start to an evening before you go out.

The hotel is situated in really easy reach from Gare Du Nord, straight down to Vasy on the Metro, and then literally 300 yards away. It is in an easy five minute walk from The Luxemborg gardens, for relaxing in the sunshine, and two minutes from there is the best creperie in Paris. (Lovely wholewheat brown crepes with cheese and mushrooms).

I stupidly don't have a washbag, just shove everything in a carrier bag. I left this in the bathroom when we went out, which had a bottle of Chanel perfume (mostly empty, but enough for a few days, and had huge sentimental value to me as I bought it on my first solo trip to New York). However, I came back to find the housekeeper had chucked it out thinking it was rubbish. I did explain to the hotel that it wasn't and could they find out where it was, and they were absolutely wonderful about it all. Although it couldnt be retrieved (and they must have thought me a little mad asking for a nearly empty perfume bottle to be retrieved form les poubelles), they did give us complimentary breakfasts, which were excellent.

A wonderful few days.

Dear guests,
First of all we would like to thank you for taking the time to share your experience in our hotel.
We were delighted to read that you enjoyed your stay in our hotel.
Jérome Mesnager, the famous designer who invented le “Corps Blanc” (white body), created, with Charlotte, the very unique and contemporary design of our hotel.
The Hôtel des Académies et des Arts is located in a really nice area with restaurants and bistros within walking distance. The Jardin du Luxembourg, one of the nicest gardens in Paris, is also one minute walk from our hotel. There are also 3 metro lines close to our hotel (line 4, 6 and 12).
Our staff is always delighted to help our guests and answer any questions the may have.
We sincerely hope to have the pleasure to welcome you again in our hotel.
Best regards,

Booked through hotel's website for 3 nights (19-21 July 2012) and paid a total of 564 Euros.

Quite easy to get to from Charles De Gaulle airport, emailed the staff and as informed, took the RER B train to Port Royal and then took walked for about 10 minutes to get to the hotel as I was lugging 2 suitcases.

Hotel in a quiet area and check-in was efficient. After the porter took my suitcases to the room, he brought 2 macaroons. Room was tiny as expected and I had 1 large and 1 medium suitcases, had to stick one inside the wardrobe as there was nowhere to put 2 suitcases otherwise. I didn't like that the toilet is completely separated from the sink and bath area but not a huge problem. My room faced the inner 'courtyard' of nearby buildings so it was really quiet at night and bed was alright although the pillows were uncomfortable. Love that they provided nice bathsalts. Wifi was included and had no problem accessing it at all.

There is no water boiler in the room which I thought was a little bit weird, so I couldn't make tea in the morning, but I checked with the staff and she said she can give me hot water in the morning from the restaurant, I thought it was too much of a hassle. There is a supermarket around 5 minutes walk so I bought drinks from there. Location wise, although it is not in a very central area, getting everywhere was easy with the metro.

I stayed at another hotel last year (Hotel des Champs-Elysees) and prefers Hotel des Academies et des Arts instead given the rates were lower for a similar size room.

We recently spent a long weekend in Paris and chose to stay at Hotel de. l'Academie. This was our first time in Paris and I we didn't quite know what neighborhood to stay in. After seeing what a mad scene Paris can be in Aug, we quickly loved the more local vibe of the area surrounding the hotel and it's quick access to the Metro.

The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. All are English speaking if you aren't confident to test out your French speaking skills but they are ready and willing to provide you with all sorts of tips on where to eat, what to do, and how to get there.

The room was very nice and cozy. Its not enormous but the perfect amount of space for a couple and definitely above average for a European city. They put a lot of effort in to stylizing the accommodations but also making it feel cozy. The bed was perfect and the room had AC that you could control yourself.

I'd also highly recommend splurging on the breakfast. While the price seems a bit high, it is well worth it and one of the best breakfasts we had while in France. Fresh fruit, breads with marmalade, croissants, coffee, and yogurt with fresh honey. All fresh and extremely tasty!

We truly enjoyed our stay at Hotel de l'Acadamie and definitely would choose to stay there again the next time we get a chance to zip off to Paris.

Dear guests,
First of all we would like to thank you for taking the time to share your experience in our hotel.
We were delighted to read that you enjoyed your stay in our hotel.
Our hotel is located in the 6th Arrondissement, a lively and typical Parisian area. There are 3 metro lines within a few minute walk from our hotel (line 4, 6 and 12). All three lines are really convenient to discover and visit Paris easily.
As it is important to us that our guests enjoy their stay, we are always delighted to recommend places to have dinner and lunch or suggest things to do while in Paris… We are therefore happy to provide tips in French, English and a few other languages as well. We also do our best to ensure that the atmosphere of our hotel is nice and “cozy” for our guests thanks to a very unique decoration.
Our continental breakfast is of course only made of fresh and tasty products from the bread and croissants to the orange juice…
We sincerely hope to have the pleasure to welcome you again in our hotel.
Best regards,

This hotel is super stylish and the perfect hotel for a weekend break in Paris. The rooms are nicely decorated but it is the sitting room and hotel lobby that are the 'real stars' of the decor. We were welcomed by very friendly staff and that included a glass of champagne and macaroons as we had booked through Mr and Mrs Smith. The location of the hotel is great too - very close to many restaurants and bars, as well as metro and city bike stands.
