What a wonderful place! Larger than it looks from the outside, it was a truly memorable night. We could not fault the food - the seafood could not have been fresher and tasted superb. We were also taken by the quirky menu. The staff we extremely helpful and friendly and we could not believe how reasonable the bill was. We are only sorry we went so late in our stay in Paris as we would go again in a heartbeat. We really could not recommend this place more highly. If you are in Paris and have only one place to go, then this is it. Make sure you book. Thank you Bar a Iode!

I had a dinner at this fancy restaurant in St Germain. Service is fast and polite; the venue itself is pretty small but really comfortable.
Food was simply great and prices below the expectations.

Perfect fresh oysters, tasty prepared shrimp, whelks etc. Great bottle of Sancerre - reasonably priced food at its best. Almost did not go in because there was only one other couple in the place. Then we saw that all almost all the tables were reserved. The local who sat next to us was chatty - she went there often, although she had not previously been twice in the same day before! This place is good.

Fantastic sea food platter with great wine. Staff was friendly and helpful since we didn't understand the menu which was available in French only.

I went here with a Parisian friend who recommended this place. Made a reservation which turned out to be smart as it was packed as of 830pm with mainly french speaking customers. We shared a platter of the mixed seafood mousses, very nice. I took the grilled dorade as a main dish which was grilled excellently. Not dry yet cooked throughout, with a slight charcoal flavour. Deserts were fine too.

Menu is not very long but that's ok as the choices are all good. Prices are very reasonable, waiters friendly and relaxed.

Next time i'd like to try the seafood platter as a starter, looked great on my neighbour's table.
