I went here with a Parisian friend who recommended this place. Made a reservation which turned out to be smart as it was packed as of 830pm with mainly french speaking customers. We shared a platter of the mixed seafood mousses, very nice. I took the grilled dorade as a main dish which was grilled excellently. Not dry yet cooked throughout, with a slight charcoal flavour. Deserts were fine too.

Menu is not very long but that's ok as the choices are all good. Prices are very reasonable, waiters friendly and relaxed.

Next time i'd like to try the seafood platter as a starter, looked great on my neighbour's table.

Stylish they may be, but the chairs in this restaurant made it impossible for us to eat in it. The owner generously gave us take-out instead. If only we'd been able to sit comfortably, we'd have returned more than once; that's how good the seafood was.

Bar a Iode was a treat, a restaurant we would consider going back to on this trip. It's only been open for two years and although it's on the Blvd St. Germain, we didn't notice anyone else there for dinner speaking anything other than French.

Barb ordered an entree of 6 oysters, #3 from Normandie, special St. Vaast and I had the petite friture d'eperlans, small fried fish, 10 and 7 € respectively. Then, as a plat, she had the filet de julienne, purée de petite pois a la menthe (18€) which was a kind of white fish. I had another entree, couteaux en persillade (8€). These were razor clams which I've had twice before on previous trips, once served cold which I didn't care for and once hot, which I did. These were served hot and were very good. The waiter helped us choose a white wine, a Chateau Carbon d'Artigues, 2015 (18€) which tasted better and better as we sipped it with our various foods. Total was 63.50€
which is a bargain for such a meal.

This being a seafood restaurant, there was a great selction of white wines from a Sancerre to a Borgogne to a Cotes de Rhone, and beyond, and many of the diners were having combination platters consisting of a variety of oysters, steamed crabs, whelks and winkles, etc. so we'd like to return and give these a try. There were no meat dishes on the menu. Definitely worth a try on a trip to Paris.

Delicious food, friendly and helpful staff, if you unsure what wine to choose, they will advise you and even give a sample.

Lovely seafood and very accommodating waiter who gave us an English menu. The only negative was the furniture and layout which was cramped and a little flimsy
