Terrific apartment in the Marais district of Paris. Apartment was clean, comfortable and well equipped. Lots of Parisianne character. We appreciated that it was on the ground floor and very quiet. Chris, the owner was very attentive and helpful - responded to any questions promptly. He was also very helpful with suggestions about what to see and do in Paris. I would definitely recommend this apartment to friends and relatives and would want to stay there again when we take another trip to Paris.

This was our first time to Paris and the apartment was perfect for our three night stay. Our children are only aged 10 and 8 so we all fitted into the one room OK and the beds were really comfortable. Because the apartment is set back from the street and on the ground floor opening onto a small courtyard it was fairly dark and really quiet - in fact we all slept well into the morning - the best night's sleep we'd had in years! The spec of the apartment was really high; beautiful bathroom and nice furnishings. Only a short walk to a couple of metro stations, a supermarket and two bakeries. Sadly, we hadn't appreciated until our last day just how close the apartment was to the river and Notre Dame and could have walked a lot more! If we were coming back to Paris as a family or couple we'd definitely hope to stay in this apartment again. Our host Chris sent lots of detail and instructions so we knew to what expect on arrival, and you appreciate his pleas to live quietly once you get there and realise you are living more as a Parisian than a tourist; and this brings many more benefits to a visit to this vast and wonderful city. Would recommend the tourist night bus around Paris too!
My sister and I (aged 72 and 79) stayed in this Paris apartment in June, 2017 for 8 days. It was perfect for our needs and gave us the special feel of 'living like a Parisian' that we were looking for. Chris, the owner, could not have been more helpful. He has thought of everything and it is all contained in his black folder kept in the apartment. He is only a phone call away if needs be. The meeting for the handover was very smooth and effortless and Chris arranged our taxi to the airport at the end of our stay which was cheaper and easier than doing it ourselves. The apartment itself is delightful, with one fixed double bed and one very comfortable fold out sofa bed, which we left down for the entire stay. The full kitchen enabled us to make the choice of eating out or self catering. There are many lovely eating places right on the doorstep as well as gourmet shops to buy the wonderful Parisian food. I plan to use this apartment again in the future. Thank you Chris.
This is the dream apartment for exploring Paris. Quiet, atmospheric and equipped with everything you need, you step outside into the medieval streets of the Marais and wander in any direction. There is a market next door, the Picasso museum down the street and everything else.
First of all, Chris was wonderful to deal with, he provided us with so much information before we even left home then when we arrived, there was lots more information at the apartment. The apartment is clean, updated, and had everything we needed. Chris made sure he was just a phone call away if something happened (which it didn't, all went very smoothly). The location of the apartment couldn't be better, everything needed is in a two block radius, cafes, boulangerie, patisserie, fromagerie, markets, fruits & legumes, etc. We loved being able to immerse ourselves in the local life and not live in a hotel. The apartment was the perfect size for two of us and very quiet and secure. We are two older women and felt very safe. If ever I return to Paris, I would not hesitate to stay at Chris' apartment. It was lovely.
We wanted a cozy honeymoon retreat in Paris and that is exactly what we got! Chris was a great host. The apartment was tucked away in a quiet building and stocked with everything we needed. It looks exactly as it does in the photos. Very clean and well-maintained.
Things you don't need to bring: Umbrellas, adaptors, Paris travel books, French-English dictionaries - there are tons to borrow in the apartment. Plus there was a flat iron (in addition to the blowdryer and curling iron mentioned in the description)...I was worried I'd have to purchase one in Paris.
The neighborhood is exactly what we were looking for: friendly folks, cafes on every corner, an outdoor market (Marche Les Enfants Rouges), epiceries, casually-stylish locals (both young and old), cool restaurants (other guests leave recommendations for you in the apartment guest book), boutiques, parks, museums, and metro stops. We felt a little like Parisians by the time we left, and we were very sad to go.
