The hotel is good for a place to stay without any frills. There is an elevator, a/c, and the rooms are clean. The locations is great as it is right across the street from Gare de Nord Station. Breakfast is included but you have to go around the corner to another hotel but it was quite nice. Overall it's a good place to stay if you want nothing fancy,

Stayed a night in the double room with attached bathroom. Basic hotel with an affordable price. Located directly across Gare Du Nord train station. The entrance to the hotel is flanked by cafes on both sides. Good for a night stay.

Thsi hotel has friendly, helpful staff who speak English well. Really great. Good local knowledge and willing to assist with questions re sightseeing and other things such as where to eat. It is an older hotel, well priced for Paris, and though the rooms are clean the decor is a bit dated and no tea making facilites in the room or breakfast on site. What compensates for this is that immdeiately outside in the street there are several restaurants which are perfectly nice to eat at, and in the area there are also fast food outlets such as Macca's and Subway. The location is absolutely brilliant as it is immediatedly across the street from Gare du Nord and the Eurostar. Metro also there and accessable from footpath outside of Hotel. I was quite happy to stay at this hotel and would stay there again as I really only needed a safe place to sleep after a big days sightseeing and to be able to walk across the street next morning to the Eurostar.

Room Tip: Probably ask if room has a city view.

Its easy to find Richmond hotel cause its situated across Gare du Nord railway station.

Room is good enough for me since we spent most of the time outside.
Yes, i confirm, the lift is very small but for asians its good enough. I like the toilet cause its almost as big as our bedroom (we stay in room 051).
Hotel is sorrounded with cafe and bars. Bus station is close by; 2-3 mins walking distance from the hotel.
Can take bus number 42 (2 € per person) and stop at tour eiffel...Walking distance to eiffel tower and other great tourist spots.
I love Paris!!

I was looking for a place to spend the night and at the same time to see the surroundings of gare du nord. the impression that I got as soon as I entered this hotel was to run away from this place. The staff had no customer care and gave you the feeling that you are disturbing him in his relaxation. Breakfast is served in the sister hotel located in a filthy place in the basement.

We booked into this hotel because of its location opposite Gare du Nord, Paris.
On arrival the clerk showed us to the allocated room. He couldn't get the key to work. He trotted off for another and brought up two more. The second one worked.
We inspected the room, which was not that big for a double.
The pillow case was a long one which reached across the bed - dirty. The shower curtain - dirty. The toilet - dirty. Then we pulled back the covers and the bottom sheet - dirty, there were black hairs on it. Pubic or head??
We decided to leave. We would not have taken a homeless person there to stay as they would probably have caught some sort of germs.
Too bad as the location was great for getting to and from the airport and other areas of Paris.
Would NEVER EVER stay there.

Room Tip: Just don't go there. No fitness centre, can't unclick)

The hotel is excellent value for any hotel in paris. It is, of course an existing residential block so does not have a largee layout as space is at a premium. The rooms are quite adequate and facilities work well. The location is great, literally across the road from le gare du nord railway station and in the middle of 24 hour restaurants and bistros. The staff were very helpful and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable even to the extent of ringing up car rental firms to confirm bookings and pickup points. It is always best practice in france to try and communicate in french first (even if you know very little) as the locals will always try as hard as you do. Don't expect a palace but you probably won't find better value in paris.

Room Tip: Try to get room at back of hotel, the rue dunqeurque is busy 24 hours.
