Cold and wet it may have been, but a stroll around the streets of the island are always worth an hour or so. The sqare in front of Notre Dame always seems to bustle with activity - mainly visitors but it's never intimidating or unfriendly.
A visit to the second island - Ile St Loius - is worth a trip - fascination shops and a couple of friendly bars too when the other half insists on a second tour of the shops!
