Try to learn about the history of Paris through the years before you visit to really understand why this is the center and how for centuries Paris hardly strayed beyond this small center. Imagine life in those times and come to appreciate that we are but transitionary visitors making but a breath in the life of this amazing city where life pulses in ways it can no where else.

Tour the Ile with a plan for if you go to wander you will miss so much from the Deportation Memorial to Concierge to the original Metro entrance. There is much to see. Tie in a visit to the Latin Quarter along the Left Bank at the same time. Don't miss Pont Neuf and the tip of the island where Jaques de Molay was burned as Grand Master of the Knights Templar.

Plan for four hours.

loved all the narrow strreets with each one having its own story to tell. and like many places in paris you only have to be one street back from a main attraction and it is so quiet

On Sunday morning the streets are deserted. Get out there and get some photos with beautiful light and NO PEOPLE.

Somewhere in time, some lucky folks found this small little part of the world and made it magnificent; put a bubble over it, and kept it from harm....to this day. For this reason, we have Paris, a testament to beauty, civility, and dreams.
