Arrived before check in time and went to the Eiffel tower. Came back at 6 PM only to find in our room a wet carpet with a very bad odor (Water leak) and NO WORKING AC with no FAN. Website and Hotel Description Mentions AC!
We talked to Hajer, a lady at the front desk and she tried to evade us with lies and unreasonable explanations. She even mentioned that AC was a privilege?? and would be charged extra if needed. Since it was almost time for her to get off work she did not make any effort whatsoever to switch us to a different room.
We had to talk to hotels dot com and they told us they will refund us the 2 nights we were staying if we'd like.
They talked to her and Immediately Hajer offered us a different room with a Working AC. The hotel is on an excellent location. Paris heat with no AC or Fan is terrible.
The Night Front Desk man was great, so kind and so nice! Not like the other lady.

Beds are very nice, old room with a newly renovated bathroom.

Would not come back if Front Desk Hajer is still there. The Man at the night's front desk saved our trip and made it memorable, Thanks!

Room tip: Call before to make sure the AC Works in your room

Bonjour,

Thank you for your message which doesn't at all reflect the truth of what you're stating but reflects who you are. First of all I didn't rush to leave the hotel, I left at 9 instead of 8 pm just to solve the problem and make you enjoy your stay. I am professional and I know how to manage my duty. Second, I didn't wait until expedia calls to switch you to another room. I did it in the 10 mns following your check in. We understand that with the heat in Paris,, it's unbearable a room without airconditionner. I already presented all my excuses the day you checked out and you said that the most important that a solution was found and that you enjoyed your stay very much!
I don't think of changing my hotel, then it's up to you may be to change your opinion.

Regards,
Hajer

It’s in a very good location. We can walk to louvre and it’s only 10-20 mins from many train station.
However, our first night stay in June 2019, we are not able to turn on the air-condition and there is no fan provided.

- extremely convenient location in city center, plenty of restaurants nearby, easily accessible to attractions
- very small and old room, okay if just for a couple of nights, elevator is only the size of 6 square tiles

Yes, the location is pretty central and yes, you can't expect a huge room in the middle of Paris. However, this was the oldest and dirtiest hotel room I have stayed in - luckily only one night. Don't go there!

Dear Tobias
We receive your posted comment and we thank you for that
As you know our hotel is located in the central position in Paris, and the rooms are small but equiped with the main things. Also the hotel is builtd on 1820 it is an antic building and we are sorry if you don't like the olest things but many clients love it
With our regards
