“Great location and price”
Reviewed February 14, 2013

We stayed two nights in a double room on the 5th floor. The room was tiny but immaculately clean with a very nice shower and a comfortable bed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We will be back!

Pros: Cheap, comfortable rooms
Cons: Rooms and baths are rather small. 15 min free Wi-Fi

Rooms
Comfortable, modest and pleasing. They face the street, and thus have views and get plenty of natural light. Renovated recently and equipped with soundproof windows, a flat-screen TV (limited English channels) and phone.
The rooms are small but are clean. Bathrooms sparkle and include showers and hair dryers, but small, me standing at 5.8ft found it difficult to use the pot so good luck to someone who’s taller or over weight.

Hotel
In comparison to other hotels in the area we were not only amazed by the affordable rates, but we were also satisfied, with its simple rooms. The hotel does have a elevator which is a relief to a travelled travelling with big heavy bags. Breakfast is served in the basement dining room at an extra charge.

Location
The Grand Hotel du Loiret is within minutes to countless restaurants, cafes, bars (gay and straight) and shopping opportunities (including the famous BHV department store, one block away). The Grand Hôtel du Loiret is just a hop, skip and a kiss away from the Hôtel de Ville itself (a.k.a. the Paris city hall), along with other cultural hot spots. The

Metro
The hotel is located a five-minute walk to the Hotel de Ville station.

Tip
Travelling in Paris is best using the Paris Visit card that’s sold at the RER station at the airport (sold online too). We picked up a 3 day pass for 2 and made the maximum use of it. The pass can be used to travel the metro, bus and I think it even get you discounts at a few museums.

At 100 euros a night for a double, slap bang in the centre of Paris, you cannot complain. Okay, so the beds are standard doubles (i.e. small) and yes, the street can be noisy and the bathrooms are tiny. But this is Paris and this is a great location. The rooms are also spotless and there are nice little touches such as a drying line over the shower, reading spotlights as part of the bedside lamps and free wifi. Nice white bedlinen, too. Did I mention the location? Forget the bland broad boulevards, the Marais is fun, full of lovely little boutiques and plenty of good eating places, and the perfect place to hang out with a glass of red wine watching the locals hurry off to work. And if you really must go to the Left Bank, it's only a stroll away. Pretty damn good.

Room Tip: Just take earplugs if you're noise sensitive.

We stayed for 4 nights in early October. Clean, simple, great location. Nice all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet. We enjoyed our stay! We had a 100 euro room-#413. I stepped it off at 9 ft by 12 ft., so yes it was small. One concern for future travelers: the bathroom was tiny and the shower had a 14 inch step up around the toilet to get in. It was a bit tricky. We think this would be a problem if you are a plus size person or not very agile. Just a heads up!

Small hotel. Newly renovated. Rooms clean and comfortable. Staff helpful and friendly. Feeling like an old Paris inn. Convenient location near Notre Dame and Metro. Somewhat noisy in the late evenings on the street but location near restaurants and downtown worth it. Great stay!

Great location on bus route & underground trains ,reaturants & laundromat close by, just 21/2 blocks from Notre Darme. Rooms small but all you need ,very clean ,can walk to most tourist spots if you have the energy .The staff eg. Alex especially could not have been more helpfull , with information & directions ect. I highly recommend this place ,the value is exceptional.

Room Tip: If only 2 people, go for a king size bed as rooms are bigger

This hotel has everything you need to stay in Paris with low cost. The room is very small but confortable and clean, the bathroom is smaller then we ever thought, but very usefull.
The location is privileged due the proximity to underground Hotel de Ville station, and if you like to walk, you can get easily the Notre Damme basilic after 10 min walking, and after reach the Louvre museum after other 10 min.
The street is very noisy due the bars near the hotel, sometimes to inconvenient, but the price is very cheap to Europe patterns.

Room Tip: Don´t take rooms which are located in the corner, they are very noisy
