While traveling with my wife and three children we determined we should use our SPG points and reserve two connecting rooms, which we did. However, upon our 11pm checkin we were informed that our rooms were not connected, actually they were not even adjoining, which was very frustrating as I had called twice to make sure our once in a lifetime trip would go as planned and the rooms would be connecting. The checkin desk apologized and promised to make it right but could do nothing for the first night! On the second day they moved all of our stuff to the correct rooms. We also received free breakfast for the duration of our stay and a few nice gifts for the kids. Finally, the staff really went above and beyond in making sure everything was fine and we were enjoying our stay despite the difficult start.
We really enjoyed the location as we loved entering the park across the street. We also made great use of the map and appreciated that we could walk to almost anyplace we needed to (FYI, we like to walk). I mentioned the service, which was outstanding, and the location, also enjoyed the dinning areas and the food & drink. Turned out to be our favorite stop on our European vacation!

Hotel is beautiful and well located for many of the best tourist attractions in the city... and the breakfast was nice if you don't mind forking out EUR 40...

... but there are too many things wrong for the eye-watering cost. The checkin and checkout were friendly but extremely slow. The room was comfortable but with little or no sound insulation - noise in the corridor and noise in the street below resulted in an extremely poor night's sleep. And the lack of functioning internet in my room (they sent a technician who tried to work out the issue but couldn't) is a first when travelling with work

Be a nice place to stay if you're a tourist with a generous budget, but this was disappointing compared to other hotels I have stayed with in this city

Room Tip: Get a room that faces the central courtyard and not out onto the road if you're a light sleeper!

This hotel has a superb location - it is walking distance to Opera through Place Vendome, it is in front of Jardin des Tuileries and located just between Louvre Museum and Place de la Concorde.
The public areas of the hotel are perfectly maintained and the restaurant that is in the middle of the hotel with an open sky is perfect for having a nice sunday brunch or a dinner. Unfortunately, there is a lot of events happening at this hotel and therefore it is always full of people.
The rooms are on the other hand not so great anymore. We stayed in a junior suite on the 5th. floor and this room definitely needs more maintenance.
The staff is fine in general, but you cannot expect a warm welcome, except for the room service people that have always tried to be helpful and smiling.
One of the big dissapointements of this hotel is the breakfast. First, it closes at 10 AM every day including weekends. Second, this area is not really well cleaned after previous guests and so you can encounter rests of bread and splilled things on the floor. Additionally, the breakfast room is quite noisy, including the staff shouting at each other.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay although there are some drawbacks, which you would not expect in a Westin standard.

I was sorry to learn you did not fully enjoy your time and were disappointed by the allocated junior suite, as well as breakfast in our restaurant. I will share you comments with our teams as it reminds us we have to be very attentive at each moment and stay focus on quality. I am sorry we could not meet when at the hotel as I would have found an alternate suite in better shape.

With this said, it is great you enjoyed our patio as well as the central location of the hotel.

arrived early, they didnt have a room, which is understandable, so we left our bags and came back after 4;30 and they still did not have a room (check in was 3 or 4 ) was not too happy with that in particular when one has top tier status with the hotel. Had we not become very upset with them they were prepared to send us away for another 30 min to wait for a room.
Finally got a room. which was very nice. walk in closet, couch, large bathroom and very well decorated facing the center court yard. Bed was great and location was very good for us.
The hotel didnt staff the front entrance too well. This level of property should always have someone to greet and help guests right at the front doors. We saw this only once out of countless trips in and out of the hotel.
Only had one issue and that was with the people smoking in their room next door.( a Westin no, no) called down to the front desk, they said they would take care of it. They possibly did but it would have been nice to get a call back letting us know the situation had been corrected.
concierge desk was very helpful and was quick to provide advice and an umbrella for the rain.
All in all it was a very nice stay.

We spend a week in january at the end of our travels around europe. We had seen the beautiful building and the great location before and had good expectations of the hotel. We were disappointed. The room was small, we know its Paris but given the Westin standards it should have a more reasonable size. The furniture seemed to be stucked in the room, a small room having a big couch, a reading big chair, a coffee table, a tv armoire and the bed was a bit much, if they had bothered to bring in a designer to this room they would have had a more efficient room. The worst was the restroom, it was old, and frankly ugly. No marble or granite anywhere, everything was plastic and runned down. The service was not great either. I know parisians dont have the greatest reputation on being nice, but i have lived in this city and dont have this idea of the people. The hotel did stand up to this reputation, the concierge was stucked up and when i asked about restaurants in the area he gave me a tourist trap restaurant list with attitude included. Internet service was not great either.

The lobby is beautiful, the restaurants and all first floor is impeccable. Beautiful flower arrangements everywhere. It is a shame since the location is expectacular, a cross the street from Tuileries and just steps from Place Vendome, you would think they would be in the same rank as nearby hotels (Mandarin Oriental, Ritz, etc) The building is beautiful and they should value such a gem and take actions to match the beauty of the outside with its inside.

This is the place to stay in affordable luxury in Paris.
Since the time that this property was an Intercontinental hotel,this was our favorite place.
Indeed many changes,after the take over by Starwood/ Westin, was not to the positive direction,but still the property provides good service in the very heart of Paris.
Rooms now are quite dark and have not the same elegance .
At any rate try to get a room with a front view and in a high floor to avoid the ( important) noise of the street.
They are fabulous.specially those with the small terrace at the top floor,although that are small.
They exist even bigger but have not the charm of the small ones.
If you get it,there is no reason to leave the room to ....visit Paris,as you can see almost 80 per cent from your balcony...
Housekeeping efficient and breakfast correct.

Room Tip: High floor main street ....and there is no need to exit the room for seeing Paris.

Stayed here for a conference in June. The hotel was packed - but the service didn't suffer one bit. Everything I requested normally arrived between 10 and 15 mins. Room service food was good ( albeit a bit expensive), the breakfast buffet was excellent. Location of the hotel could not have been better - walking distance to everything! My only negative is the fact that they are still charging for wifi? In this day and age? And not cheap either - quite steep!

Aside from that - lovely stay , great room ( mix of modern and old french charm), and the service was spot on.
