10 minutes walk from Eiffel Tower and metro station so location was exceptional.
Next to Rue Cler, pedestrians only street with many casual restaurants, our favourite was Tribeca for its salmon and cod dishes.
Room was small, hardly enough space for luggage for 2. You don’t get the clean feeling in the room with dust on the cupboard and walls. Room 216 faces the back of another building so the view was nothing to shout about but what saved the day was the print on the wall which showed the same view outside the window: an old creeper covering the back of the building opposite. Simple but very effective.
Be prepared for the tight squeeze in the old lift which can barely fit 2 people with luggage. Paid €130 per night for a double without breakfast so it is expensive but then this is Paris. The bathroom was renovated but not well done eg the LED lights were dazzlingly bright. No slippers provided so bring your own.
