My family know the place for 4 generations. It is really a perfect location because it is situated in the area where I like being and shopping. It is a clean place with a situable equipment.
I recommend it !

The hotel is very conveniently located, next to St. Lazare train station, metro, bus stops, many cafes, and super markets. Staffs are very kind. The room we stayed was very quiet, and clean bath room. Also, the room was larger than I expected. I will choose this hotel when I go to Paris again!

The position
+) Perfect to explore the city, thanks to the proximity to the Saint Lazare metro station, where many lines pass by.
-) Although perfect as base, the zone is not that attractive for nightlife: it is anyway a station neighborhood, there are no good options for dining.

The room
+) Very clean, confortable bad, brand new bathroom, quite silent floor, well fournished (tv, phon)
-) If it matters, spaces are very tiny.

The personnel
+) Nice and helpful

A tip: ask for an internally exposed room, since some noise may arise from the pubs nearby the hotel.

Everything was as expected or beyond that, all personel (except one lady which I will mention later) was amazing, collaborative, helpful, willing to help, etc. even there was one employee (the man serving at nights) who knew somethings from our Country (history, political status, etc.) which we really appreciated as he made us feel welcomed. In the other hand, there was one lady who was extremely rude to us (she serves in the mornings, not an asian but a french I guess), we asked for some help on getting directions to the airport and she limited herself to say: either you use our taxi company or you call whoever you want and you pay for the call and arrange they understand you (we do not understand french, and she knew it).
Over all was a nice experience (leaving a side this "lady") and we would definitely book this room again when we return to Paris!.

Some answers of the survey would had been 5 unfortunately the service we got from this lady (the one mentioned above was one of three rude answer we got) downgraded our experience.

Pros
+ Great location - 2 subway stops minutes away, cafes literally next door in all directions, grocery store and pharmacy across the street
+ Low price
+ Friendly
+ Reasonably spacious room by European/Paris standards

Con
- Breakfast is a bit expensive
- By a train station - some homeless people at night etc, busy area and never felt unsafe though
- Some other guests said it was noisy - think it helps to be on a high floor

Conclusion: Overall one of our favourite hotels this trip. I know the reviews are mixed, but I'm not sure what you expect from a central hotel in Paris for this price. We did stay for breakfast twice and found the 11 euro charge a bit steep for a continental breakfast. Near the end of our stay we ate nearby for about half of the price. The grocery store across the street is also fantastic for cheap snacks, water, or whatever else you need.

Tips: If you arrive at a train station that is not St Lazare, you will probably need to take the RER to there first (it is then a 5 minute walk from the St Lazare RER to the hotel). If you are arriving within Paris the normal transit tickets will also work for the RER, you do not need a special ticket. Buy the books of 10 each ('carnets') to save money.

This was the first hotel that we stayed at on our trip. It was a great location being so close to the Metro and St Lazare. There was a pharmacy and supermarket across the road and many eateries and bars around. There's also a Starbucks around the corner, money machines and the post office in close proximity. We had a front room on the 3rd floor and although it was noisy it added to the atmosphere of being in Paris. Nothing that closing the windows and earplugs can't fix! Room was small but functional. Bathroom was great. We had breakfast there one morning which was nice and filling but there are cheaper options elsewhere. Lobby was small and found one of the staff really friendly and entertaining. There was no fridge but a good wardrobe and an in-room safe. Bed comfortable. Had desk and chair. I reported a leaking shower head which was not fixed during the 7 days we were there. Would be difficult in summer without air conditioning. Woke to the smell of bread being baked one day - delicious! WiFi was difficult to log onto compared to other hotels we stayed in.

Room Tip: Ask for a room not facing the street if you want a quiet sleep.
