We booked this hotel from the reviews on this site & we weren't disappointed. Great price, family room was very spacious on the 1st floor overlooking the street, metro stop outside & the Eiffel tower only a 10 min walk away. Staff were very nice & we enjoyed our stay.

We booked this hotel because we wanted to be close to a metro station - literally outside the door, and we had looked at the reviews and found them to be good. The reception staff were all very helpful and friendly, there were plenty of cafes, bars and shops along the road and as other reviewers have stated, the Eiffel Tower is only a 10 minute walk away. Our room was one of the upgraded ones, we didn't ask for one, we were just given one, so I can't comment on the state of the other rooms. The room was very clean nicely furnished with a tidy bathroom, and powerful shower, which was definitely needed after walking around the city on the dusty pavements. The room was plenty big enough, and the bed was comfortable. There was also a safe and hairdryer. We didn't try the breakfast as we thought it to be quite expensive, and Starbucks was next door. We would definitely return to this hotel again.

Room Tip: We had an upgraded room which faced the back of the building. There was almost no noise from the rai...

Just a 10 min walk away from Eiffel Tower, the hotel is quite good and affordable. I found hotel staff to be nice and helpful. It is a value for money stay. Best thing about the hotel is its location. Apart from the proximity to Eiffel Tower, its next to Metro station and is on main road. Room was good in size compared to average Paris hotel room space.

My husband & I stayed here in September 2011, and we originally booked it for 6 nights. Like JeepeeQC said, the location and value are excellent, but the staff at the front desk are so-so. It doesn't help that my husband & I can't speak an iota of french...Anyway, we only lasted 3 nights - I had to get out of Paris as I was becoming depressed due to the attitude. Perhaps my poor experience in Paris didn't do Tourisme Hotel any justice, but I won't be back.

If you're looking for a nice hotel not too expensive, the Tourisme Hotel can suit your needs. Very well located in a quiet neighborhood (15ième Arrondissement), this small hotel has clean and spacious room (Paris standard). Moreover, a 30 seconds to the subway station (Motte-Piquet-Grenelle) can get you anywhere in the city. In fact, 3 subway lines are available in that particular station. Also, it is located on a 10 min by walk to the Champs-de-Mars and Les Invalides. Big downside thought, don't expect the front-desk staff to help you or to be kind; they collect the cash and that's pretty much it.

We had reservations for 3 nights. Upon checking in on a Saturday evening we were given a piece of paper to write our details before keys of room 301 was given to us. Our room had an additional bed making it difficult to move about.
We requested for it to be to removed but was told to check tommorrow for another room. The air conditioning was not working, we were told again to check with the morning staff!.
We were tired and sleep was really not easy on a hot summer night and the vibrations of underground train movements did not help. We highlighted the air condition situation to the staff in the morning and were told they are having problems with air conditioning with no attempt to change our room. After the 2nd sleepless night we told the reception early in the morning that we have decided to check out. Valerie quickly told us that she would get us a room with aircondition. We are appreciative but felt that the hotel should have made the neccessary changes upon a complaint rather than ignoring it for 2 long days. The room 315 which we were given was spacious and seem newly refurbished compared to 301 which looked tired and really dated. The "noise" of moving underground trains was however worst off in room 315. Tourisme provides very basic accommodation. The upside is pehaps there are many eating shops all around, Monoprix and a Mcdonalds round the corner plus a metro at your doorstep. I would however look for the many alternatives availaible at prices hovering around euro120 to 130.

Room Tip: Please check and affirm that the air condition is working before you accept your keys upon checking...

Like most other reviews - great location, right near metro, Starbucks, McDonalds, food etc.
I've been to Paris 4 or 5 times. Never have I been in a room this big. The room we had was about the same size as a typical room in the US. Our room had been renovated recently (1 or 2 year ?). Great quality, huge bathroom, awesome big screen TV with unbelievable quality picture, fast internet. Friendly helpful front desk. Great Price etc. etc. etc. Highly recommend.....
Only downside was occasionally we could hear or feel a whoosh from the metro. Didn't bother us but was a testament to how close you are to the station.
