“Positive Experience”

After reading the impressive reviews. we made a booking via Priceline. After the booking was confirmed and unaware of the stricter room occupancy rules in Europe, we realized an issue with room occupancy limits and immediately called the hotel to check if we can accomodate our 4 yr old in a double occupancy room. The hotel declined the request (which we totally understand) and on our request went out of the way to cancel the non-refundable booking. We will definitely look for another opportunity to stay here. The hotel staff we interacted with during this experience were very polite and very helpful.

Unfriendly guy at the reception in the evening, never smiling, even not looking at you. Rooms are small and dark, toilets even too small for one person. The street outside is very loud for the whole night, moreover a pub downstair keep on loud music until early morning. Wifi works randomly. Walls look like made of paper, you can hear everything from outside and from other rooms. Breakfast is horrible, with a very unfriendly old angry lady bringing you a dry croissant and a piece of bread, plus a orange juice in a plastic glass, meanwhile she is eating too! And English language is something not yet arrived here... Cannot believe such kind of hotels are still existing on 2013!!! Never again!!!

As other reviewers have noted, the rooms are small and noisy, but everything is clean and tidy. The hotel is 50yds from the Metro, which makes it just 30mins from all the main sights in Paris. Montrouge also has some great restaurants and is very handy for Orly airport.

The best part about this hotel is the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff on the front desk. They arranged restaurants and booked a show at the Moulin Rouge for us without any fuss at all. They are brilliant and even though the rooms are noisy I'd consider going back. Our 5 nights cost €469 without breakfast. Not too bad for a 2 star hotel in Paris.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the stairs and lift and not facing the road.

stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The location is very good, directly at the metro. From metro it takes cca 15 min. to the city centre. The rooms are small, but we did not mind as we only slept there, the rest of the day were exploring Paris. Moreover they keep the rooms clean all the time. Eating area is small, offering the breakfast for 8 EUR per day consisting of croisants, coffee/tea/chocolate and some yogurts. There is also available shuttle bus to the airports. Wifi connection could be faster. Staff is super friendly, speaking perfect english, willing to help or advise any time. All in all, fully recommend this place, and if coming back to Paris this will be my choice again.

This hotel is good value for Paris, clean rooms, quite small but this is not really an issue. Friendly staff who spoke good English. Best thing about the hotel is the proximity to the Porte D'Orleans metro which is a 1 min walk away and allows travel all over the city. Wifi good and room cleaned daily. Would stay again.

Stayed at this hotel in April 2012
Ups are that it has good value for money, nice staff and it is close to the Port d'Orleans metro station.
Dows were that wi-fi on our floor was almost non existing, bathroom was so small that it was difficult to turn arround.

All in all, if I ever go to Paris again, I will stay at this hotel.

The best thing about the Hotel is that is really close to Port d'Orleans metro station, basically about 20 steps away. The room was small, but functional. I would recommend it for budget travelers in Paris. Reception staff was nice and they spoke good English as well.

The only issue is the bathroom...meaning that what separates the bathroom and the room is a sliding glass door, non-transparent glass, but still you dont get too much privacy. Also, our sliding door wasn't sliding so easily, so it was always a bit difficult to open or close it.

Close by you can find a small Carrefour and a Lidl and, maybe 15 min walking, is the nearest Starbucks. Of course, boulangeries are everywhere :)
