My son and I stayed at Hotel des Arts last summer and were charmed by the location, staff and service. The hotel is within easy walking distance to the Moulin Rouge and Sacre Coeur and not far to the metro. An abundance of bistros, restos and cafes are just steps away from the hotel. The neighbourhood is lively, but the street is quiet. Our hotel room was small, clean and modern. Our room didn’t have a view, or a television. It did have a docking station for an iPod and free Wi-Fi – bonus! We would happily stay at Hotel des Arts again!

We were in Paris for the rugby international and chose Montmartre for its ambience and night-life. The hotel is very well situated close to the many bistros and bars yet in a quiet street. Due to smog, the Metro was free all weekend and we were able to make full use of the nearby stations. The staff were helpful and friendly, and gave us good advice about eating etc. The breakfast was simple but tasty. Our only issue with the hotel was the size of the bedroom. It, and the en suite bathroom, were simply too small for 2 people. We have visited Paris many times and are aware that Parisian hotel bedrooms are small, but our bedroom was tiny. The room, number 43, has been commented on unfavourably before now, and I think it should only be retained as a single room. It tarnished what was overall an excellent experience.

Room Tip: Avoid room 43.

The hotel is close to bars and restaurants but not noisy. The hotel is close to 2 Metro stations making getting around easy. and the Gare du Nord is only a 25 minute walk away. Hotel is clean and value for money. Staff are both friendly and helpful. A great place to stay.

We stayed here for three nights and i would definitely stay here again! It is out of the way of the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas of Paris and has some lovely restaurants and delis nearby. There is also a cinema right opposite the hotel and several supermarkets and pharmacies. The hotel itself is very cosy and not like a chain hotel adding to it's charm. Upon arrival we were given a gift pack including maps etc which proved to be very useful. The rooms were very clean with plenty of storage space and a safe. The bathroom was quite small but was fine for how long we were there. There was a free tea and coffee service from 1pm to midnight, we didn't try this but thought it was a nice touch. The staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke great english. Would recommend this hotel to anyone! easy to get around the rest of Paris from here too as there are nearby metro stations, buses and the Sacre Couer is also in walking distance as is the Moulin Rouge.

A lovely hotel with lovely, helpful staff, located in a delightful and romantic part of the city. Even though Montmartre is very busy, the hotel is on a peaceful street, in easy walking distance to Montmartre and the Metro. Highly recommended.

Well, what can we say - the hotel was superb! Excellent location, really close to Gard du Nord train station, 2 metro stations and local Montmartre life.
The rooms are brilliant for the money you pay. Quite frankly if you want hotel rooms with loads of space we suggest you pay 5* Paris prices!! The rooms here were very clean and bright, with everything you would expect.
We will definitley stay here again, but next time we will not pay for the breakfast, as you can buy high quality food cheaper in the locality.

Dear Guests,

Thank your for your comments.
I feel sorry your stay with us did not match all your expectations.
Do not hesitate to book a "superior room" next time if you are looking for a view.
Regarding the smell of paint, I do apologize for the incovenience - but in order to keep all our rooms comfy and nice, renovation is part of our job...
Best regards from Montmartre.
