Owner description: Located close to the Eiffel Tower, the musée du quai Branly exhibits 3 500 works of art from Africa, the Americas, Asia and Oceania. This important collection makes the musée du quai Branly an unmissable place for discovering the art culture of the non-European world. The museum’s original and imposing architecture designed by Jean Nouvel and its wild garden created by the landscaper Gilles Clément combine to make it a pleasant and unique place. The museum is the fourth largest museum in Paris.

Well worth a few hours of your time; more than 300,000 objects from Africa, Asia, Oceania, and the Americas. The design and layout draw you in and expose you to non-Western cultures. And you'll have a great view of the Eiffel Tower!

I attended a short documentary screening there and went to a free night exhibit about Hair. The place was decorated with blue and whote light outside. It made it seem like Pandora from the movie Avatar. Really cool. The staff was helpfull and nice. The place is huge. You go down stairs, look around and there is art all around you.The visit itself is great. The main auditorium is beautiful and spacious. I was dreaming of throwing a party there one day.
It feels different than other other museum I visited before. Loved it and will go back.

I visited on Saturday night and was very surprised by the volume and breadth of the exhibits. What an incredible collection! I would have preferred a few more light. I actually bumped into a glass pane because the lighting was so...atmospheric! The installation "River" was brilliant.

What a unique museum! Take the time to visit. Exhibits from all continents , ancient civilisations, I had never seen anything like it! The shop is also worth a visit, quite a pity the books are in French, though.

If you are in Paris from October 29, 2012 -January 20, 2013, be sure to visit this Museum and its exhibit on Aboriginal Art. It is extraordinary. The walls are lined with incredible paintings that are one dimensional but have many layers of stories hidden within the thousands of painted dots, straight and curved on boards of varying sizes and shapes. This is a remarkable and fascinating exhibit. Well worth an hour or two to get lost in this primitive art style. After visiting this exhibit, be sure to check out the entire Museum. It is a very special place. Great architecture, great layout, great displays with a restaurant and cafe.
