“Small hotel but comfortable”
Reviewed October 13, 2012

I stayed at this hotel for one night during my Paris trip in May. I wanted a hotel close to the Eiffel Tower so I could meet for a tour. When I arrived the hotel was going through renovations so the lobby was a little dusty but I didn't mind. My room was recently renovated with a twin bed, tv, toilet on one end of the room and the shaper and sink on the other end. There was also a desk. The room was small but that is to be expected in Europe.

The location is great. There are lots of markets and restaurants in the area. It also wasn't far from the metro. The men at the front desk were nice. One note: I returned to the hotel very late and the front door was locked. You have to ring a bell to get in but I got a little worried as the lights in the front were off. It would be helpful if they made guests aware of this when they check-in but overall great stay.

Great location, five minute walk from Eifel Tower and good reasonably priced restaurants nearby. We booked a double room and were sorely disappointed in room number 14's size, not big enough for two lightly packed travelers. TV was small and had terrible reception. Odd, the maid took our bed spread after the first night. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Just a couple of dissapointments with this hotel, We were told when we booked there would be a few free parking spaces belonging to the hotel available on a first come first serve basis - When we got there however we found this wasn't the case. The hotel has 1 parking space for its staff in the street outside. There is public parking in the street outside however this was full all day and all night and is only free on the weekend. After having to park about a ten minute walk away we complained to the guy on reception and he kindly gave us his parking space. We also booked a double room and were dissapointed to find we'd been given a twin room (Yes I fell down the middle!) after asking to swap we were told there were no rooms for that night but as compensation for keeping the room 1 night we would be upgraded to a kingsize room the next night, When we asked the next morning a different guy was on reception and said the previous man shouldn't have said that and we would have to put up with a twin again. He proved to be very unco-operative and the way we were dealt with was unpleasant.

Apart from this the hotel itself can't be faulted, the beds were comphy rooms small but not so much that it was a problem. free wifi easy to use, shops nearby 10 minute walk from Eifel Tower. Perfect for a weekend in Paris :D not such a good location if you're driving though - mainly due to lack of parking.

Room Tip: Apparently you have to specify if you want a double bed - They don't class their rooms as a twin...

We stayed here from the 15th-17th September , I wanted it to be a bit special and I emailed them in advance to have a room looking at the Eiffel Tower which was a little bit extra (approx €20 per night) we stayed in room 53 right on the 5th floor the lift is quite small but managed to get the case and wife !!! The room was immaculate and cleaned to a very high standard , they had put a unpleasant velvet on the bed as it was my anniversary which was great , the reception welcoming was very warm and the service if you had any questions were great , I did try to pick a fault but couldn't , it was a 5 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower as the wife walks slow !!!!
Anyone going to Paris for a short break as looking for a nice clean very hotel I would highly recommend it , wifi connection even works on the top floor !!!!
Me and my wife would definately stay again !!!

Small and friendly, professional and caring business. Clean rooms (can be a little small) but service excellent. Dining room is below ground so can be a bit claustrophobic for breakfast but the selection is great and the food is very good. There are lots of little shops and restaurants in the neighborhood and there are little markets just up the road if you want to avoid the hotel drinks list. A nice coffee shop on the opposite corner. Don't expect top park anywhere around here and be careful when you open the door of the taxi (it can get a little close). Be careful also at night when walking in darkened places, the Parisians when walking their dogs don't bother to pick up after them so the footpath can be literally littered with dog feces!!

Room Tip: Get a suite with a view of the Tower!!

We stayed here for four nights, my husband, my self and our 10 year old, in fact I write this review from here. The hotel is in a great location less than two minutes walk to the Eiffel Tower, river and tour buses (open top buses}. The location is beautiful and SAFE, we have walk all over this neighbourhood and have never felt unsafe. There are heaps and heaps of restaurants, lots devoted to tourist and some fantastic ones that the locals love by the look of the line ups to get in, Rue Cher is a lovely market street not far from here, with little cheese, wine fruit stalls along it. There is a fantastic bakery at the end of the street, and much much more around. I loved this location. Very easy with a tired 10 year old at the end of each day.

The hotel is clean, neat and tidy. Rooms were serviced each day. I have read of some complaints regarding the lift....it is small, but so what, once you've gotten your bags upstairs your only going to use it to leave (once a day) and return (once a day)!! The bathrooms are small but this is Paris and your not staying in a five star BIG hotel, We found this place charming, the staff speak English and are very very helpful and were never once rude.

Our room was in the main hotel, (I believe they may own the building across the road) on the fourth floor, and consisted of one double and one single, the room was a bit squashy but we were never there much. There is a hair dryer but no tea/coffee making facilities in the room,
At times the street got a little noisy but this didnt really bother us or our son as we were all very tired after full days of sightseeing. We did have one problem, it got quiet cool here on one/two nights and we asked for extra blackets, but the hotel was only able to give us one as that was all they had....but that was our ONLY complaint. This is a charming little hotel in a fantastic family location. Cafe (cheap) at each end of the street. Heaps and Heaps of cafe, bistro etc around neighbourhood that offer great breakfasts and dinner.

We were very disappointed with our room. Very small. Photos on the website was misleading. Very flat pillows and very cold at night. Not enough blankets. Woke up to sound of drilling early in the morning and noise of the stairs in night. Staff were not very polite. Only good thing about this hotel is that it is close to the Eiffel tower.
