“Better than expected”
Reviewed February 20, 2013

The earlier mixed reviews left me a little apprehensive about the Adagio Access Tilsitt Champs Elyees. However upon arrival the receptionist was kind, sympathetic and very helpful and spoke in both English and French. it does help in France to make an attempt to speak their language.
People warm to you immediately and their approach is much more helpful than if you blunder in demanding they speak English. This was the first hotel where the bedroom was better than the reception. Usually it is the other way around. My room was large by Parisian standards, with a fully equiped kitchenette, very large bath room and shower, TV, free internet and a nice view toward the Arc de Triomphe. The furniture is old but that did not bother me., The bed was large, about a king size and very comfy. The room was airconditioned, quiet and sunny. The location is the best you can get for a budget hotel, being 20 seconds from the metro line 1 and RER trains, next to the Air France buses for direct access to CDG and Orly airports and across the road from the Champs Elyees and the Arc de Triomphe. There are lots of good restaurants locally, and two good supermarkets within a few minutes walk for those who want to eat in.
This is a safe and upmarket area to stay. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Best rooms are at the front on the higher floors

Location is the best in town, you pay for that, very poor staff and 1 receptionist was very rough on us, smoked on the counter and yelled at me. room was small but very neat and clean. good money for the location, for the rest do not expect big.

A pleasant view of Arc de Triomphe on top of hotel roof. Considering the location of the hotel it's worth to stay, convenient for transportation, food, not so far to shopping area, etc. But the room itself is quite tiny, hard to turn around, curtain, carpet looks dirty, however hotel staff is trying do their best to help guests, you will not feel so frustrated.

I have stayed at this hotel at least four times now. I choose it for the location and for the kitchenette. I think it is very convenient to be able to cook a simple breakfast or make some coffee in the evening. The location of this hotel simply could not be better. It's close to the Arc de Triomphe, the metro station, a good bakery (at the end of Avenue Carnot), the Champs-Elysées etc. If you arrive at the Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport, you can take the Air France Coaches (independent of whether you arrived by an Air France plane or not), ligne 2 (line 2) stop about 20 meters from the hotel. Some of the rooms have a view of the Tour Eiffel, the Arc de Triomphe and the Tour Montparnasse. Be sure to ask for the key to the roof terrace and go there to enjoy the view! The rooms are simple but adequate. The furniture is a bit dated. The double rooms are small and the kitchenettes of these rooms are very small and do not contain many kitchen utensils. On the other hand, the one bedroom suites are quite large and contain a separate kitchen complete with dishwasher and an array of kitchen utensils. In the one bedroom suite, there is one room with a double bed and another room with a sofa bed. There is no breakfast room, but you can get an (expensive) in-room breakfast. I have never tried that one. The front desk staff was helpful and nice. As I speak french, I can't rate their english skills. This is definitely not a luxury hotel (you have to carry your own waste down to the rubbish bins, for exemple), but if you know what to expect and value location above all, this hotel is great.

The hotel location is excelent. Close to metro, RER, restaurants... If you enjoy walking, it's possible to acess the main points by foot. However, the room is so tinny is dificcult to move in. The staff nearly speaks english (mine is not so good, but I can manege it and I don't work in tourism in Paris...) and almost don't see then. About the kitchen is better do not comment, it just so small that is better to believe that you will not have it.

The hotel by itself is not great and is overpriced for the comfort level. However, the location is phenomenal. It is right next to Le cars Air France - travel to CDG and back can be by this bus. Arc De Triomphe is next door and so is Etoile metro, RER stations.

The rooms are decent, there is free internet. There is a kitchenette for those who want to cook their own food. I was surprised that my room did not have microwave as they usually have that. There are a lot of restaurants and cafes nearby.

Room Tip: Ask for road facing apartments.
