We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Paris. Bertrand and Elisa were very kind, offered great information on the area and responded very quickly to any questions we had. The apartment is in a great spot, not touristy, great restaurants nearby and easy access to the trains. My only thought is that some things in the apartment could use a little fixing/replacing such as the kettle, it was broken, the towels were very thin. Personal choice here, but I don't like other peoples left over food. As well they could use some new pillows, they are very flat, and new lamp shades, as one or two of them are stained. It just needs some TLC and then it will be great.
This was a fantastic home to stay in, it had everything my wife and 2 daughters needed. It is centrally located to most the key areas of Paris and a fairly short walk to the Eiffel Tower. Within a few blocks there were dozens of really good restaurants. We ate in a different one every night. The St. Charles street is really cool and vibrant, with twice a week markets lining the streets. Everything you would need is a close walk from this house. The 3rd floor facing the courtyard was great for leaving the windows open in the evening. Highly recommended and we will be back.
The apartment was exactly as it was described and met all our expectations. It is in a fantastic locale - Saint Charles has everything you need - beautiful fresh food, convenience stores, pharmacy, restaurants, metro - everything is close by and Eiffel Tower is a 15 min walk away and visible from the street the apartment is in. The location is more 'residential' than other areas of Paris, you feel like a local and it's a more authentic experience of living like a 'Parisien' than inner areas. The apartment itself has everything you need and is spacious and comfortable.
The apartment was very spacious and comfortable. It was very easy to catch buses to places and as a bonus there was a Asian takeaway very close by.
This spacious Paris apartment faces an inner green court that is cooling and quiet. It has two nice bedrooms and a fold-out couch. It has a nice kitchen, washer and dryer and tub/shower. it is about 15 - 20 minute walk from the Eiffel Tower and about a 5 minute walk from the RER train, Metro or bus stop.
We walked Paris but found the bus/Metro/Train needed because you can walk there but after a while a ride back is welcome.
This apartment is a little closer to Orly airport than CDG Airport and you should consider this.
We also found that LeCab was a great source for ordering a cab back to the airport.

PARIS EIFFEL TOWER – VILLAGE SAINT CHARLES
Getting to Village Saint Charles was a problem in itself. We had a limo from LeCab to pick us up at the airport and take us to what we thought was 6 Rue Des Bergers, Paris. Instead we were dropped off at 6 Rue Bergers. After some time and asking the local police we found we were half an hour away on the wrong side of the river. The important thing in Paris is to have the Arrondisment in the address. We were in 10th and should have been in 15th. It is like having the postcode, but much more important in Paris. Another taxi ride got us to the correct address. It was a major inconvenience for the poor girl, with her young baby, who was waiting to let us into the apartment.
Once we arrived it was all too easy. She took us through the apartment and explained, in broken English where everything was and how it worked. Bertrand had left a marvellous guide for all the electrical equipment, and there was plenty of it, in the unit, and to all the local shops and restaurants.
The apartment consists of a large kitchen/lounge/diner with double doors out onto a balcony. There was a large wardrobe with ironing board etc; it was all there in the lounge. TV, DVD, internet and wifi all provided. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything you could want.
There was a toilet off the lounge and then the two bedrooms on the opposite side. One was a double and the other a twin, both comfortable and reasonably large opening onto the balcony that ran the length of the unit. The balcony overlooked a large courtyard with the garages underneath and the most beautiful original stone walls on adjoining buildings, well over five stories high.
At the end of the short passageway was the bathroom and laundry. It was compact to say the least, but it all worked, when we finally figured out the washer and dryer in one. Everything was clean and comfortable, and worked.
There were two lifts opening onto the lobby off which was the storerooms and garbage bins. The outside doors were a bit tricky until you got the hang of it.
The beauty of the apartment is its location. It is walking distance to the Eiffel Tower, albiet a long one, and to the Hop On Hop Off buses which are everywhere in Paris and most major European cities as we found out. They are extremely convenient and you can get just about anywhere on them. The Seine was in flood when we got there so unfortunately we couldn’t get into the Musee D’Orsay and the Louvre as they were flooded. The two-day option is best value and tickets can be bought at the stops or online.
The extensive instructions provided by Bertrand gave us recommendations for restaurants, supermarkets and anything else you could want. Everything was within a few blocks walk. There was every type of restaurant, a choice of supermarkets and ATMs in every block.
Overall it was a great start to our trip, once you get past the wrong address, and the apartment was well equipped, clean and convenient. Recommended, as was LeCab for transport to and from airports and train stations.
