My husband and I were in Paris in October 2011 for our 20th Wedding Anniversary and wanted someplace quiet and romantic. We were recommended the restaurant (L'Restaurant) in L'Hotel and it couldn't have been more perfect! From the intimate bar for a pre-dinner cocktail to the quiet elegance of the restaurant we were pampered beyond belief. We chose to have the Chef's 5 course menu with wines and every dish was a work of art. My favorite was the frog's legs over spinach risotto-I could have had that as a main! The service was exceptional with the waiters very attentive without seeming to hover. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and would love to be able to stay here next time we are in Paris. Tres Magnifique!

We stayed at the luxurious L’Hotel Paris for a special weekend getaway, and I can say everything from customer service, room standard, Michelin restaurant experience and overall comfort levels greatly exceeded expectations – a truly first class experience! Will definitely be retuning next time we’re in Paris.

What a fantastic hotel. I had planned to take my wife, brother and sister in law and two other couples to Paris for the weekend to celebrate a milestone. Had been planning this for months and researched many hotels, considering Eiffel Tower view rooms at other places. Decided on L'Hotel due to it's location and unique style. None of us were disappointed and we all fell in love with it. From the friendly staff to the wonderful staircase and decadent rooms it was perfect. We had the surprise menu in the restaurant and that was a truly memorable experience.

The location is great, fifty meters perhaps from the Seine, opposite the Louvre and just down the street from the Musee D'Orsay. Another fifty meters the other way and you're slap bang in the middle of charming and lively St Germain.

Want to go back.

Room Tip: Any of the rooms, we had three different types and they were all great.

We found this hotel absolutely perfect for a weekend in Paris. Great service, cosy and clean room with nice details. Very convenient to have a good and intimate restaurant at the hotel - but we would choose to go for the a la Carte menu as opposed to the Surprise Menu, which didn't quite live up to our expectations. The location of L'Hotel couldn't be better, especially if you are in for visiting art galleries and doing some shopping in Saint Germain. Don't forget to let the guys in the reception give you advice on which restaurants to go for in the neighbourhood.

Right from the start we wanted to stay at the left bank. Specifically at St Germain des Près. So we found this small boutique hotel with a One-Michelin star restaurant and the additional charm of being the place where Oscar Wilde died in 1900.

Location
Absolutely perfect. Right in the middle of St Germain, within walking distance from dozens of bistros, bars, restaurants and other amazing places, we were very pleased with this neighborhood.
The area is very well served from the subway and it is easy to go from there to any other place in Paris.
Also, it is so close to the Louvre that you can walk (and I definitely recommend this) from the hotel to the museum, and then head to Champs-Elysées to finally reach the Arc de Triomphe. It's really special!
The street (Rue de Beux Arts) is packed with art gallerys (and you probably are going to see yourself standing in the street admiring some of the nice paintings) and is often taken by the fine arts students that go to the bars nearby to have a drink.
For us, it was an amazing setting!

Service (Concierge, Food, Cleaning, Internet)
L'Hôtel has a good set of services: great breakfast (not usually included in the fare), rooms are pretty clean and neat and free internet.
Here, I have one drawback: concierge services. We asked the man at the reception to see if we could get Opera tickets. We were a little disappointed because it took one day for him to get the information that we actually missed the Opera we wanted to see. Besides that, we were recommended a lousy restaurant at the only night we asked him for any recommendations. We expected a lot more on concierge services for a 4-star hotel.
Apparently, they also have a special pool at the top level which we could not enjoy due to time restrictions.

Rooms (Size, Decoration)

Rooms are small. But do not expect large rooms in Paris.
So, if you compare to other hotels in the city, L'Hôtel rooms have a good size.
Beds are comfortable and big. We went during the fall so air conditioning was ok. I guess that in the summer it could get hot in the rooms (but it's really just guessing).
Bathrooms are actually big and comfortable. Bath products are amazing and they sell it at the reception.
There is one last thing about the rooms: decoration.
The hotel is actually what was once a 1800s house. And one of its charms is exactly this. Point is, the decoration of the place is supposed to remember you of that time. It means that room ornaments have kind of a baroque style and can be too dark and heavy for some people. So, if you don't like this kind of decoration, maybe it is not the place for you.

Finally, L'Hôtel was a really good experience and we would definitely recommend the place. Just make sure you like the style and enjoy.
