After getting off the train at 10.30 pm - tired and hungry we came across this restaurant amongst 3 others. This one had the menu clearly written on a large blackboard - very simple to understand with about 10 main course choices ( ideal ) We both chose the steak and chips and a pepper sauce . Whilst waiting we were also served a bowl of crisps to nibble on along with our drinks . The steak was cooked to our liking and was a good size . A nice bowl of bread came with the meal, but the best was the lovely pepper sauce .
The main waiter was an absolute credit - Charming and friendly and did his very best to make us feel so welcome.
We had two delicious crepe suzette for dessert to share which he flambe for us at our table .
He really made the meal for me - service should be just as good as the food and it was !
