When my wife said she wanted to go to Paris for our anniversary , i agreed , but with a heavy heart , i have been there twice previously and she has never been ,, ok the last time i went was some 25 years ago and i was fully expecting rude surley sevice from waiters who were pretending not to understand my pathetic attemps to order in french or shop keepers ignoring me as they served there fellow countrymen behind me in in the crowded rabble of a french excuse for a queue ,,,,How wrong could i be !! in the four days we spent there we found nothing but politeness and excellant service , Le Montparnasse Cafe being the perfect example ,,, before my second stuttered word of schoolboy french left my mouth the very pleasant waiter interuppted me to helpfully go through the menu in perfect Engish , we were then served a delicious , reasonably priced meal in very atmospheric surrondings , highly reccomend .
