We went into this little bistrot because it was next to our hotel. As soon as we walked in, Danny, the owner, made it clear that you were in his home and he treated you like a valued guest.
The food was fresh and delicious. My husband ordered frogs legs and got a huge plate, of perfectly cooked legs in a wine sauce and I got a plate of roasted marrow bones served with sea salt that was wonderful. Next came lamb for my husband and a serving of duck with a very unusual, but delicious, passion fruit sauce for me. The meal concluded with cheeses and a tart, wine, liquor and a cappuccino, all for 75 euros.
Danny and his father sent time explaining the menu, telling us about their family. They also took time to explain about the holiday the next day, what would be open and what would not. We would have gone back but did not have time.
This was one of our best meals in Paris and one of the most reasonable.
