Warm welcome from Antoine, not huge choice but your trust will not be misplaced. Small carte de vins, about four or five choices per course, but everything is exceptional. Super fresh, as much local as they can. No freezer. I would make the trip ( as we did ) to escape the crush of tourists and find awesome French. Highly recommended.

Great food & the chef/owner was beyond helpful explaining his daily menu to us in English. Fresh, local ingredients prepared with imagination and attention to detail. Very small - maybe 8 tables. Cozy and friendly with a relaxed atmosphere. We would love to be able to come back to it at least once a month if it was around the corner. Unfortunately we don't come to Paris often enough.

After a long day of walking around Paris, we wanted a restaurant nearby for dinner. The young woman at the desk suggested L'architoque, which was right next door to Villa des Artistes. It was fabulous! The wine was wonderful, service was attentive and entertaining, and the food was out of this world. I can highly recommend this restaurant.

Loved the relaxed atmosphere of a little nighbourhood resto, but with a funky touch. The young chef had just opened. Great nouvelle cuisine fare, with modern twists. reasonable (modest) prices. His main courses were wonderful, deserts fresh and brilliant. I stayed at the Best Western Hotel Villa des Artistes next door, and ate here 3 different times for supper. Great valu3e with high quality.

We arrived in Paris on Saturday and wandered the streets and came across L'architoque.
Antoine happened to be running a little late, he excused himself, opened the door and we entered to inquire if he had a table for 2. He regretted to inform us he was full, we then asked if we could make a reservation for Wed. evening, our last night in Paris. He took down our names and he told us to come 15 minutes early. We arrived 15 minutes prior to opening and he let us pick whatever table we wanted in the restaurant. We picked a table that backed onto the stairs, as it had a bit of room and wasn't too close to other tables. This is a rarity in Paris. Normally the tables are stacked right next to each other and there is no privacy whatsoever.
The meal was written on a chalk board and explained in English and every single options sounded amazing. I chose the Chefs "idea of the moment". Pork cheeks that were so tender and delicious. The wine selection was the perfect pairing. As we were finishing our meal, Antoine approached us to see if we would be willing to move to allow our table to be set for another couple. He graciously poured us a complimentary glass of champagne and thanked us profusely for moving. We had a very memorable evening as our last night in Paris. Antoine and L'architoque played an integral part. Merci
