You can't go wrong with L'Escargot, especially if you really dig escargots! Besides, the quality of the lamb they serve and the preparation itself... absolutely perfect doneness! wine list is ok, some view it as pricey,Ithought it was ok. Service was good, up from other experiences in Paris. You have to go dinner! ambiance is great.

Typical Parisian style, great variety of wine, really good food. My favorite are of course the Escargot ( served with 3 different flavours ) and the Canard a l'orange, in my opinion the best in town.A great choice of dessert that change really often, if you have the occasion, try the Pain Perdu, really good.

We came here on Christmas night without booking and it was a really nice meal.
Escargot was the specialty but it only featured on the starters and there are lots of other great dishes on the mains menu, including whole roast duck, scallops, calves kidneys, red mullet. I had calves kidneys and it came with a very yummy sauce.
You can splurge out here with an extensive wine list available and the duck costing $66 each (we saw someone else having it and it looked delicious). But we were on a budget and managed to have starters (snails), main and a bottle of wine between 3 people for $50 each.
Nice decor and silver cutlery used in restaurant, waiters generally helpful and friendly.
My only complain is that they would not serve us tap water, a problem that we encountered many times in Paris. We asked so many times and were received with a nod, but none ever came until I started a coughing fit and then I was brought Evian - the cheek!
