Had a phenomenal experience dining here on our first night in Paris! Would highly recommend. The food was delictable and the husband and wife team that run the restaurant make the dining experience that much more enjoyable! You cannot go wrong with this choice. Looking around during our dinner I did not see one plate that had not been entirely cleaned. A wonderful meal all-around!

Visiting the Marais, we stumbled upon Gustibus by chance one evening and are delighted we did so. Slightly off the beaten track and a complete unknown to any of us (or to our guidebooks), we were treated to a thoroughly delicious and enjoyable dining experience.

Newly established by Italian husband, wife and daughter team, the welcome was unusually friendly for Paris. Service was excellent: immediate, personal and enthusiastic, with the family more than ready to explain and describe their varied dishes. And the food! Simply superb: clearly defined flavours, exquisitely fresh and beautifully presented in generous portions.

The chef personally shops daily for his fish, meat and vegetables and not only knows his food but is proud and passionate about his cooking: very personal, with no shortcuts but refreshingly relaxed and unpretentious. The pasta and mushroom dish was unusual and outstandingly sumptuous, a real treat for any vegetarian; the beef was rich, tender and delectable; the fish could not have been fresher and was mouth-wateringly good; the marinated rabbit (French), a real delight. All the puddings were lovely but the melting chocolate cake won the prize.

The atmosphere was great: relaxed, busy and bustling with mostly French locals and apparent regulars. The wine list is excellent. All food and drink prices are excellent value for money.

All in all an excellent find; we would be delighted to return.

Having just moved to the neighborhood, at the border of the 3rd and 11th arrondissements, four of us decided to try this very cozy-looking venue on a whim--even though it doesn't appear in any guidebooks. We were very pleasantly suprised. It was just opened in August by a chef (who spent a year in Palm Beach, FL), his wife and daughter, folks who hail from Italy. Most importantly, they know their food. We had, among other superb dishes, a succulent dorade, rolled up (forgot French word for this) around perfectly cooked vegetables; an incredible cepes and tagliatelle, featuring loads of slices from a beautiful gigantic cepe the chef couldn't resist showing to the table; marinated rabbit with super-thin-sliced julienned beets; and pumpkin and leek soup. The desserts included outstanding tiramisu and a heavenly mi cuit chocolate cake with molten center. Service was quick and as warmly welcoming as one could ask. The bread served and the wine list are also first-rate, and the prices are very reasonable; the lunch menu is a stupendous bargain.
