Description: La Fine Mousse is a craft beer bar located in the 11th arrondissement of Paris (metro Saint-Maur/Ménilmontant). With 20 taps and more than 150 bottles, we propose a cosy and friendly atmosphere to be able to discover the french, belgium and international craft beers. Find also nice plates of cheese and other specialities on site.

“Disappointing selection and expensive”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 28, 2013

The location looks a bit unpromising but at first glance the bar seemed lively, with jazz musicians playing and lots of customers. Tables are squeezed in around the bar and we managed to get one by the window, which was a bit too close to the musicians and with chairs apparently chosen for appearance rather than comfort.

After a quick look at the list of beers on tap I made my choice and then had to choose again, with assistance from the helpful barman, because the list was out of date. I thought the prices were high for a 25cl glass, even though I live in Sweden and I'm used to paying a lot for beer.

The toilet is best described as foul. Little sign of cleaning, a broken flush and a sink that leaks water onto the floor and out to the tables outside.

“Not very cosy, ok selection”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 25, 2013 via mobile

Went here on a Monday, the selection on tap was decent, but their fridge was broken and they could not offer any of their bottled beers, which severily limited the hassle of going all the way out to the bar. The prices for what little food they have were inflated, and the locale itself was very uncosy with the most uncomfortable chairs I've ever sat in. The toilet was beyond nasty - leaking water and very unclean. All in all, not a pleasant way to spend an evening.

“Best beer in Paris!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 10, 2013

La Fine Mousse (charmingly translated on their website as The Fine Head) is, without a doubt, the classiest joint to get a beer in Paris. The selection is extensive, with 19 beers and a cider on tap (and hundreds of bottles on hand) and they're all delicious. The four delightful bartenders are extremely knowledgeable and happy to help - you'll come for the beer and stay for the service.
I never used to choose beer over wine, but these guys made me fall in love with quality, artisanal beer - they're that passionate about it and they only sell the best.

Otherwise, if you get the munchies, I highly recommend the mixed platter, a generous helping of charcuterie and cheese. The prices are reasonable and although it can get crowded on Fridays and Saturdays, the boys organize great events during the rest of the week, all worth leaving your apartment for. It's a chill atmosphere and plenty of locals show up just to hang out. En fin, it's a gem, and anyone who loves beer should put it at the top of their list while in Paris!

“La Fine Mousse”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 11, 2013

What luck! The highlight of our Paris vacation was stumbling upon La Fine Mousse. Discouraged by the universally dismal beer at otherwise charming street side cafes, finding this brew pub with it's wide ranging selections and personable staff was a ray of hoppy sunshine. I don't speak French but the gentlemen behind the counter were charming and helpful and never made me feel ignorant. The beers were superlative - award winning Saisons, tiny microbrew offerings, the diversity and overall quality rivals my favorite Bay Area haunts. The decor was simple and tasteful, the vibe welcoming, and the location close to the Metro. La Fine Mousse is going to convince Parisians to branch out beyond the grape to the grain.

“Exceptional craft beer bar”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 6, 2013

This friendly, but quite small, street corner bar is a short stroll from Ménilmontant metro and is an exceptional craft beer venue. There are 20 beers on pression plus around 150 bottled varieties and all are produced by independent boutique brewers from France and beyond. The staff are very passionate about the beers, which are dispensed in attractive 250ml house-branded stem glasses. The chalkboard displays the ever changing tap selection. The mixed charcuterie and fromage platter comes beautifully presented and is very tasty. Overall, highly recommended for anyone into their craft beer and a rare find indeed for central Paris.
