I love Paris, it is a beautiful, romantic city. As this was a special occassion, I spent much time & research, selecting the perfect hotel for our stay. On previous trips to Paris, we have stayed in the Vendome area, where hotels are plush & opulent & expensive, but you get what you pay for.
As we really enjoyed the Latin quarter on previous trips, it made sense to book in that area. After weeks of pain staking research we chose the Hotel Atmospheres. It looked cool & funky & very much in keeping with the area. We booked a deluxe suite.
The hotel was easy to reach from the Gare de Nord. The hotel was very modern. The receptionist was very helpful & showed us to our suite.
The suite was on 2 levels. With a living area, sofa & seating area & en suite bathroom downstairs & upstairs a double bed, shower room (with own single person sauna) and separate WC. Whilst the downstairs was quite spacious, the upstairs was very small, & dark, there was no natural light. I was very disappointed & complained to the receptionist.
She called the hotel manager & they had a discussion about other available suites. I was told we had the biggest suite they had, but they offered another on the 6th floor but this was even smaller! So we accepted the suite that we had.
The manager did make a personal visit to the room to apologise & offered complimentary breakfasts, which was kind of her. She also left a bouquet of flowers in the room whilst we were out - which was lovely and I feel rotten writing a mediocre review of her hotel....
but given the amount of money i paid on a deluxe suite, i would not say it was value for money.
Next time we'll go back to the Place de Vendome.

Room Tip: We were in Suite 301. Nicely decorated but no natural light & small. But i did like the single p...

So everything in Paris is pretty much expensive. I booked a Smart Deal via Booking.com so this 4 star hotel became affordable. Its close to the metro and also there a lot of nearby restaurants that are really good! Dont eat breakfast here though cause its probably not worth it for its price. I totally liked the room. I liked the boutique modern style touch the put into everything. The receptionists were also friendly. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to friends!

This hotel was located 5 minutes walk to Notre Dame and 5 minutes walk (in the other direction) to Rue Mofftard. Our room (club) was very small, there was barely enough room for two suitcases with no room to space! The room had a nice view of the street but this made it a little noisy because the window shut but didn't really seal. Everything was clean and modern. The bathroom was also small and had almost no bench space. I certainly would not like to have had children in this size room! The breakfast buffet was pretty pathetic for 16 euros but offered the usual basics. The staff were quite unfriendly for our entire stay and not at all knowledgeable about the area and transport etc. On one occasion they could not answer our questions and on another occasion they gave us the wrong information completely! People tell you to expect this in France but i have never had service like it and I've stayed in many French hotels! Nothing was outrageously bad, but overall I think I'd try my luck elsewhere next time.

Dear Myyaya,
We thank you for taking the time to share your experience at the Hotel Atmospheres.
I’m sorry that you were disappointed by the size of your CLUB room despite its 16 square meters.
Our breakfast offers a large variety of fresh and high quality products for a fair price.
It includes fresh-squeezed orange juice, fresh fruits salad, scrambled eggs, sausage, ham (pork or chicken), Rosette de Lyon. A large variety of cheeses, plain and fruit yogurts, cereals, breads and French pastries and a wide range of high quality jams. Hot drinks: coffee, tea “Dammann Frères” and hot chocolate.
Finally, I am very sorry that the desk staff was not able to answer to your questions. Indeed they always do their best to assist our guests in their demands (extra services, restaurants, transportation information, recommendations …) and they are always glad to help to ensure their complete satisfaction.
Yours sincerely,
Christelle Boin - manager

This was our first trip to Paris and my wife and I stayed from June 5-12, 2013. Before embarking on our trip, we did a bit of research and had heard the the French could be rude, especially to Americans. We found nothing further from the truth. In general, we found the people in Paris to be friendly and welcoming and this hotel was no exception. Very helpful, they even let us borrow an umbrella on a drizzly day. Our room was clean, comfortable and we really enjoyed the contemporary twist with the decor (our bathroom had little lights in the ceiling that made it look like little stars). Location was fantastic (Latin Quarter, walking distance to Notre Dame... we even walked to the Marais district), but just far enough off the main crowd area that after a long and eventful day, we could really relax. Short walk to several metro stations. Would highly recommend.

We stayed at this hotel in October - the opening night party took place during our stay. The hotel is new and very well decorated. The staff is friendly. The location is great... in the Latin Quarter, close to different dining options, a few minutes from Notre Dame, St Michel... We were able to explore Paris on foot most of the time.
The room was very nice (we were in the deluxe room). The only thing we didn't like was the fact that we had an open shower, so every time we took a shower, the bathroom was flooded. The staff gave us extra towels to help us fix the problem, however it would have been better to have a normal shower.
We were travelling with a baby, who used existing bedding. We first made a reservation for the classic room (via another web site, not the official hotel site) and asked whether it was OK to have the baby in the room and they said that they checked with the reception and it was OK. However, I contacted the hotel prior to our arrival to double-check but they said they would require us to book the deluxe room. We did and we paid extra (they did give us a small discount). Normally, when we travel with our child, other hotels don't charge anything extra (provided that baby uses existing bedding). This was the only thing I didn't really like. But the hotel is really nice and, other than that, the staff was really friendly and helpful, therefore I decided to give the hotel an excellent rating.

Room Tip: Ask for one which doesn't have an open shower :-)

Our family of 2 Adults & 2 Children stayed in Suite 234 from 24-27 May 2013. The room was relatively small especially with the queen sofa bed opened, but it was clean. Washroom was nice & modern. Location was close 5mins walk to Maubert-Mutualite station.

My family of 4 stayed here for 6 nights in the suite 234. The suite was very small being only 22 m2 but the space was very well utilized. There was a sofabed, small table, tv, and chair in one room. In the other was just a queen sized bed and tv. In between the bedrooms was an elegant bathroom with a good sized shower and modern sink as well as a separate small toilet. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel and room was very clean. There is also a business room with computers (but no printer), sauna, and small gym. The location is excellent as it is within walking distance to most of the attractions in Paris. Our room had windows onto the small interior courtyard which was nice and quiet. The suite and hotel is elegantly decorated and despite being very small in size (but then again in Paris everything is small compared to North America) we enjoyed our stay there very much. I would recommend this hotel to everybody.
