“Good location, good value, nice hotel!”
Reviewed March 13, 2013

I stayed there for 4 nights in February 2013 as part of a couple. We arrived at Gare du Nord from Zurich, Switzerland, and we took the metro to St Michel. It'll take you less than 10 mins to get to the hotel from St Michel metro station, and it was close to Notre Dame and the Pantheon. There are many restaurants and eateries around, and with St Michel metro nearby, you can practically assess the rest of the Paris with ease.

The room was small(typical of hotels in large cities) but clean, new, comfortable and stylish. The service staff wer efficient, friendly, and prompt. There is free wifi, and there's a small gym at the basement.

I would definitely recommend this hotel, and stay at the hotel again the next time I'm back in Paris!

I stayed at the hotel Atmospheres for a long weekend in March as part of a couple. We took the Eurostar from London and then took the metro from the Gare du Nord station to St Michel (B line then a short walk). There are plenty of ticket machines in the Gare du Nord station so don't queue for the first set of machines you see after leaving the train - there are usually long queues! Just head towards the tube lines and you'll find lots of machines on the way.

The closest station to the hotel is Maubert, 2 minute walk away. It's the one we used when we weren't travelling on foot.

The hotel was easy to find. We arrived just before noon and they allowed us to check-in straight away. We booked through booking.com so had prepaid and the check-in process was painless. We were offered codes for our free wifi and they printed out a code for each of our devices! The reception area is filled with artistic photographs of Paris and brings a modern, trendy feel to the hotel. We were just there for the bed and shower though!

Our room was in the first floor in the Notre Dame section. The room was small, compact but nicely decorated and had all the necessities, i.e hair dryer, hanging space, safe (locked with a credit card), tea making facilities and towels. It was clean and very pleasant. Our room was facing a busy street but the windows sound proofed the room totally. The only thing wrong with the room was the rubbish air con. The room was warm enough but during the night, the room became very stuffy. This was solved very quickly by opening the windows, but we were lucky that the weather provided cool air which blew into the room.

We did not opt for the buffet breakfast offered at €16 per person as there was a delicious bakery around the corner (Eric Kayser) which was popular. We bought fresh croissants in the morning to have with tea in the hotel. However, on the second morning, we found that we only had one English breakfast tea bag and one Earl grey tea bag! Yuck.

Check out was smooth and the person at reception helped us store our luggage in the luggage room whilst we enjoyed our last day in Paris before setting off home. Beware to avoid rush hour times if you are heading to the Gare du Nord for an early evening train. We changed lines at St Michel and experienced Tokyo style squashing whilst boarding. Not a pleasant experience when travelling with suitcases!

I would recommend this hotel as it was in a good location, there are plenty of smaller local restaurants on the street behind the hotel (directed by the evening receptionist, we visited a lovely local Vietnamese restaurant) and its a short walk to Maubert station and the River Seine.

Great location, close to Notre Dame, tourist bus, metro, choice of restaurants in immediate locale. Efficient and friendly service, free wi-fi and printing greatly appreciated. Small rooms but smart and comfortable with good use of space, tea/coffee in room. Recommend this hotel as value for money in good location.

My husband and I went to Paris to celebrate his 70th birthday. After extensive searching we made our reservations for 6 nights at Hotel Atmospheres. There could not have been a better choice. Our room was modern, lovely, immaculately clean every day, as was the entire hotel. The room was small, as to be expected in large cities, e.g., no writing desk. The bathroom was exceptional with a two person shower and beautiful glass tile. The staff was helpful even answering e-mails before we arrived and with helpful suggestions while we were there. The neighborhood was interesting with a good mix of shops, restaurants and bars. The room was so quiet that we never heard a sound from outside. It is so close to the major Paris attractions that we only were compelled to use the Metro one day. It is also very convenient to the RER B line so transportation from the airport (CDG) was no problem.

Room Tip: Room 141 is lovely and really quiet.

Spent two nights here on a short trip to Paris in early March. The hotel is relatively new and has been very well maintained. The facility is great with a mini-spa on site, with a sauna, small gym and masseuse services as well. The location is also excellent, only a 10 minute walk to the Saint Michel stop which can get you virtually anywhere in the city. Staff is very friendly. The room is somewhat small, but to be honest, when in Paris, the room is not where you will be spending most of your time. That being said the rooms are nicely appointed and decorated with excellent beds and bathrooms.

Very good location. Close to many tourist sites. Lots of restaurant choices. All staff are very helpful and speak excellent english. Rooms clean modern and well appointed but very small. I paid extra for a club room but could barely fit 2 suitcases in with furniture. However it's paris so you expect that. Bathroom ultra modern and quite large. Great spot if you want to visit Norte dame and Latin quarter. My only problem is that it was not that accessible to the 3rd 8th and 9th where I needed to be. Most days I needed to take 3 trains to get to my destinations. But if you are seeing the sites it's a great choice.

My boyfriend and I spent a week in Paris at Hotel Atmospheres from February 25th - March 4th. All we can say, is that we felt like we were staying in a 5 Star hotel! I was a bit nervous when choosing a hotel for our holiday, with such a big selection of hotels in Paris, and had done a lot of research on Trip Advisor before chosing to go with Hotel Atmospheres based on such positive reviews, and we were both extremely pleased with our choice!

The front desk all spoke fantastic English, which was important to us since neither of us speak French. The design of the hotel and the room is amazing, and having access to a little gym was a great plus! We were on the top floor (6th floor) facing the street. It is true that you can hear some street sounds slightly, but not at all enough to bother you or lose sleep over. definitely not. Also, some other reviews here state that the room was very hot, I cannot understand how that can be a problem when the rooms are fitted with individual temperature controls. if it's too hot, you simply make it cooler.

The bed was very comfy, and the shower AMAZING! we're still missing that shower! yes the rooms are a little small, but that is the norm in Paris and does not hinder the experience in any way. the complimentary shower gel/soap/shampoo smell divine, and room service always kept our room looking spotless and perfectly clean!

we also opted for having breakfast included and were glad we did so. it's hassle free, in a very cool designed breakfast room. Buffet style and you eat as much as you like. The price of the breakfast is in fact very worth it for Paris. It was very tasty as well. Croissants and Pain Au Chocolat to your heart's desire :) yogurts, cereal, toast, fresh fruit, cake, cheeses and cold meats, scrambled eggs, bacon, and much more. we recommend having the breakfast :) always easy to head out with an already full stomach.

one last thing that i would like to mention is the location of the hotel. it's bang in the middle of the Latin Quarter, beautiful area and a stone's throw away from the Pantheon, ten minutes walk from the Notre Dame, and a two minute walk from Boulevard St. Germain, which is full of restaurants, boulangeries, chocolate shops, clothing stores, bistros, even a cinema, anything you can imagine, yet still quiet enough to not feel too close to all the action. My boyfriend, a comic book fanatic, was particularily pleased to find that there was a comic book shop right around the corner from the hotel. I couldnt believe his luck! :)

We loved this hotel so much that we consider it to be a big part of the great experience we had in Paris, and recommend it to anyone!

Room Tip: Stayed in Room 162 facing the street and had no problems whatsoever regarding sound. if anything, we...
