“Reasonable”
Reviewed November 25, 2012

I stayed at a hotel that's literally next door which was very convenient for me. The food's okay. Prices are very reasonable. I would definitely recommend.

“One of the best in Paris”
Reviewed October 25, 2012

We stayed in a hotel down the street for a week and probably ate here three or four times.

This is a great little place with good food and good prices...good lunch specials also.

We came in once between lunch and dinner when the restaurant wasn't open and they welcomed us with open arms and gave us great service.

The last time we were in Paris we made sure to come here at least once-we made it to this restaurant twice.

Go check this place out.

“An Asian / Chinese / Thai / a little treasure.”
Reviewed October 21, 2012

Situated very close to, and off the Blvd Saint Michel (just near La Sorbonne and in the midst of numerous hotels ) at 18 Rue Cujas in the 5eme, (Latin Quarter) is Mandarin Sorbonne Restaurant. RER: Luxembourg (0.2km from restaurant) Metro: Cluny - La Sorbonne (0.4km from restaurant.)
This "little treasure" consists of a very hard working family and I personally have never failed to have a fabulous meal here everytime I have visted Paris over the past 20 years.
As recently as last September I took my wife and two Australian visitors for a meal at Mandarin Sorbonne and we could not fault the food and indeed, at very affordable prices.!
Chinese food can be expensive in Paris but I can assure all readers of exceptional value for money. The owners daughter works very hard (with a smile) to ensure you are satisfied and that you will come back.

Mandarin Sorbonne is open for lunch Monday to Saturday from 12.00 to 15.00 and open 7 days a week for dinner from 19.00 to 23.00. They prepare takeaway and will even deliver to hotels etc, in close proximity. (handy if you are alone and don't fancy talking to yourself)

A huge choice of both Chinese and Thai dishes are always available and most main courses are under 9 euros The fluffy and light Cantonese fried rice at 3.50 euros is a must!
I believe this restaurant delivers true value for money and when you want a change from French food etc, this is the place to visit or when you have developed a good appetite, a wide choice of food awaits you with set price menus or "a la carte"
If you decide to eat here (i have a feeling you will go back again) just remember, you are eating at an old and well established small restaurant which charges very reasonable rates for good quality and well presented food. Do not expect silver service... but good service!
Beer and wine prices are very reasonable also.
