Although the decor of this small restaurant is basic and understated, the food is just flawless. Each dish on the 5-dish tasting menu ("menu decouverte") was cooked perfectly and very well presented with just a touch of the chef's Japanese background shining through the classic French dishes. The only small thing that I could really fault was that the waitresses didn't explain each dish as it was being served, as would normally be the case for tasting menus. However, it's surprisingly hard to find a restaurant in Paris that both (i) serves creative, top quality, non-standard French cuisine and (ii) is reasonably priced (the tasting menu was EUR 42), so I can't really complain.
Definitely one of my favourite discoveries in Paris!
