“SIX day break in PARIS”
Reviewed June 4, 2013

This is a brilliant little place to stay for a holiday break in Paris. The Hotel is cute with the theme idea and it's very easy to hit the big sites on the Metro, bus or Taxi from the Hotel but these aren't the reason this is an excellent Hotel. We tip our hats to the owner who has obviously hired excellent management who has in turn hired excellent dedicated, happy, motivated people. We arrived very late in the evening and despite the hour Nicolas was there to meet us with a large welcoming smile and he was happy to make sure we had all the information we needed about our stay. This atmosphere continued throughout the week with all the staff being friendly and helpful.

If you need a big working desk, 300 hundred channels on the TV or an 80m^2 bedroom - don't stay at Vice Versa. If you're on a break and you plan to spend every day visiting Paris and you want to feel welcome and helped by genuinely friendly people (and you don't appreciate the prices at the George V) - Go to Vice Versa.

The title says it all. It's a designer boutique hotel. The lobby is a conversational piece, with it's white pristine deco. It's a rather unique hotel because of it's decoration.

Room is very compact, probably like most European hotel rooms. Washroom was impressive and clean, had a nice shower, and a window that opened. The electric dryer in the washroom came in handy for drying towels etc.

If you are someone who likes fresh air, ask for a room with a window that opens.

Location is a bit out of the way, but is within walking distance to two Metro, approx. 15 mins walk to Boucicaut and 10 mins walk to Convention Metro. There's a great pastry shop down the street and a cold cut store. The supermarket is about 5 mins walk from the hotel.

The best thing about this hotel is the superb front desk service. I wish I had gotten all their names as all of them were alwaysvery helpful. We only noticed two names, Nicholas and Faty the chamber maid was very jovial. Vice Versa staff if you're reading this review, you know who you are and we appreciate all your help.

Room Tip: Ask for room with window that opens

My friend and I booked a room at Hotel Vice Versa as a treat for our last night in Paris. We were not disappointed. The staff is very friendly and accomodating. The hotel itself is very clean and has a fun theme. We stayed in a room on the "Wrath" floor. The decor was fantastic, with a lot of attention to detail. The shower was great, and the heated towel rack a nice touch. It was wonderful to have a hotel room in Europe that had plenty of room in the bathroom, instead of it feeling like a closet. The bed was the most comfortable one encountered on our entire trip. It made me wish I could actually see the insides of rooms on the other floors. A video plays in the elevator, that gives you a taste though. My one regret is that we only stayed there one night.

Great hotel and excellent staff. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable with our hotel stay. We were in the Greed room on the first floor, very clean and pleasant. Not real close to a lot of Cafe's but some good ones can be found with a little searching. There is currently construction across the street but it wasn't too loud to make us regret staying there. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel. And again, the staff was amazing!

We stayed here on our honeymoon for 2 nights, when we arrived it was raining and we were tired. We were treated by staff in the bright lobby area and informed that our room was ready early. We had the pride room, it was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The location is great with a few good cafes and is only 20min walk to the tower. I would recommend staying here again as the hotel is great value for the money, has a good location and was clean.

What an exceptional experience. Never stayed in such a funky hotel but it was an experience to be repeated. Seven different room types and we stayed for four days in "lust" with its mirror on the ceiling, heart shaped sink, chair seat and shower base. Pink is the theme, low key lighting if you wanted, large double shower and various detailed extras all deigned around the theme of the room. The staff were all very good and helped in any way they could from booking restaurants to booking taxis. Nothing appeared to be a problem. Generally the hotel would suit couples but if you havn't tried it and were looking for a hotel with something different then you should definitely try Vice Versa.

Room Tip: Check the Internet for the room types and whilst they cannot guarantee a particular room type they w...

Lovely, clean and a funky theme. We stayed in the Wrath room with guns for cupboard handles and a knife plunged in the wall! Shower was amazing. A bit small but all hotel rooms in Paris are. Breakfast was an all you can eat buffet of eggs, bacon, cold meats, croissants, rolls, pastries, fruit, yoghurt, cereal, juice, coffee and tea. Tried it all and loved it all. The staff were very polite and accommodating which for me is why I have given the, 5 stars. It's nice to get good treatment when you go away. There is a steam room in the basement and an 'Honesty Bar' on the ground floor where you mix your own cocktails and are requested to pay the marked price. It is walking distance from Boucicaut Stn which is less than 30 mins on the Metro from Gare le Nord Eurostar. Will definitely go back.
