Have stayed in the Atlantis on numerous occasions when visiting Paris. Location is great with everything close. The rooms are larger than a lot of Parisian Hotels at this price level. The only downside is the smallest hotel lift I have ever seen. Overall though a super package.

Everything is small! The room was very small, with a small bed and a small bathroom (and the smallest elevator I’ve ever seen in my life!). But, staff are very friendly and helpful, and the location was fantastic: our room had view of Place Sulpice and Rue de Rennes. All in all a nice experience. Thanks to the owners.

The hotel is small. The size of the lift has been mentioned before so I'll not elaborate on that - I take the stairs anyway :-). The rooms are also very small with a small bed, small bathroom with small bath. Very quaint and funny place which is spotlessly clean. There is free internet in the rooms! The staff are very helpful and efficient. The best part about this hotel is it's location! Right off the Place Sulpice and the Rue de Rennes. Behind the church you'll find 2 great English book stores (2nd hand) with good finds! There are also several wine bars and good restaurants. Our favourite place to go to at night is the Rue Saint Benoit (just across the Boulevard Saint Germain) where the Jazz Club Chez Papa (10euro cover charge but worth it) is right next to the great restaurant Au Pied de Fouet. The restaurant is tiny and you sit REALLY close to each other which gives the place a great atmosphere. Don't go here if you're claustrophobic though. There's also a couple of restaurants in the nearby Rue Monsieur le Prince, such as Polidor and Racine, but I found them to be too touristy. Au Pere Louis further down in the same street, is much more authentic and caters for a younger crowd. All these places are within 5mins walking from the hotel. For the best bistrot in Paris, check out Chez Janou.

The Atlantis Hotel is an ideal location for St Germain and the Latin Quarter in Paris. The standard room is very small but well lit by windows and very clean. The one-man elevator is a curiosity ( it says it holds 3 persons but...). The hotel is on the doorstep of St Sulpice Church and square within the St Germain des Pres area. Luxembourg Gardens is a five minute walk from here. Good local cafes and bistros, especially Italian food. Excellent transport connections - St Sulpice metro is a 2 minute walk from the hotel; the direct line no 4 takes you to and from Gare du Nord). Most of the the major Paris buses go through Place Sulpice and a good alternative to metro travel. The hotel staff are very friendly. I hope to visit Paris again next year and Atlantis will probably be my choice again.

Room Tip: There seems to be 3 categories - standard, Superior and deluxe - I had a standard room which was qui...

old style small family hotel close to St Sulpice church. No food or drinks bar, breakfast available ( typpically French) Rooms roomy and comfortable, clean. Only one tiny lift, big enough for a person OR a suitcase, not both. Very friendly people,Owner is Afghan, his wife Spanish, so good place for Spanish to stay. English passable. Reasobaly proced compared to other hotels in central Paris.
Beauty of this hotel is its location on the South bank, handy to Luxembourg or Notredame, with some lovely restaurants within easy walk.
St Sulpice is worth a visit for its Delacroix painting.

Room Tip: rear facing rooms are quieter

The staff here is really nice and helpful. The rooms, though, are very small and some of them only have a bathtub (and nowhere to hang the shower). Like most European houses, it can get incredibly hot inside because of the heating system. Wifi is not the fastest, but it works. The breakfast is paid separately and consists of one piece of bread, one croissant, one fruit yogurt, coffee or tea, and a glass of orange juice.
