Fantastic location. You easily walk to Notre Dame and Odeon district and always a great place to watch Parisians going about their daily activities. Great food and shopping, laundry, supermarket etc nearby.
Room was tidy, light and airy. Staff were always friendly and appreciated you having a go a speaking French.
We absolutely LOVED this hotel.

Room Tip: We stayed in room with double windows that opened to street. Not too noisy and great for people watc...

This hotel has a great location (best), but many things about it should discourage you from wanting to stay here. You can’t just walk into the hotel; one of the staff must open the electronic door, provided they are present (they always were). You better like climbing stairs as well, because the elevator is very tight, for even two people without luggage, provided it is not broken as it was when we arrived with our luggage.
The size of the rooms and bathrooms is decent by European standards (we stayed in a "grand double"); however the space in the bathrooms is very limited in terms of being able to place any of your toiletries anywhere (worst). There is a shelf above the sink about 5 x 24 inches where you can place things. You might be able to put a couple of small things on the side of the sink as well, which is one of those pedestal style sinks. Other than that, you are stuck with the floor. My wife placed her things on the floor, until I moved a small table from the room into the bathroom. There is no soap holder in the combination shower/bath, so you soap (and other shower things) sits on the rim of the bath.
The staff speaks limited English and seems to want you to learn French, to the point of being annoying. There is no pot in the room to heat water for tea or coffee so, you must go to the lounge on the lowest floor to get those as well. You also get to pay for them and can’t take them to your room either. For $300 a night, I expected more.
I will say that the internet connection was excellent. I could get steaming video (non HD) without interruption.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the courtyard will be much quieter! Higher is better as well. Try to get the fourth flo...

It is a typical Paris hotel, so do not expect a Vegas style room. That said, it's a wonderful typical Paris hotel!!! The staff is not only helpfull but lovelly, specially Madame Pillar. The room is clean, cozy, very pleasant. The location of the hotel is superb. In the heart of Saint German with a window view to Saint Sulpice. The breakfast is a little expensive (13 euros/person), but nice. The elevetor is very, very, VERY small. Don´t take jumbo sized bags... In a sumary: this is my first hotel option in Paris. I will always come back.

Room Tip: Lower floors alow you to use the stairs more often to avoid using the smallest elevetor in the world...

Room was ok, it's Paris. It was clean, good bathroom with a tub. Small safe and mini fridge, good things to have. Elevator was the smallest I have ever seen. Our room was on the 6th floor, we had to send our luggage up alone and go up the stairs to get it. The phone in the room didn't work, so anything we had to ask we had to go down stairs. Very nice location, close to metro, and Luxembourg garden. Cafes and restaurants nearby. Staff was not the most helpful. Wi-fi very slow.

Clean sound proof rooms. We stayed in a "grand double" it was spacious for Paris norms. Bathroom had a tub and was on the large side. Elevator is the tiniest thing I have ever seen, haha. It fits 2 persons at best, simply amazing. You're within walking distance of many restaurants and shops. Breakfast is continental, crunchy oven fresh baguette, croissant, preserves coffee and juice. All what you would except, nothing extra ordinary but not bad neither.

Stayed here 3 times - small hotel located very close to 3 metro stations (St. Germain du Pres, Odeon and 1 other) and very close to many cafés and restaurants, but possibly the best thing about this hotel is its proximity to my favorite garden in the world - "Jardin Luxembourg".

Apart from the above, the hotel is charming, clean, comfortable and has the smallest elevator in the whole world - worth visiting just to see how small it is!!!

Room Tip: All rooms should be fine as the insulated windows really do insulate you from any road noise.

We were pleasantly surprised with the charm of our triple room, the comforts, and the helpful staff, especially manager Pilar. The location was excellent, with more than one convenient Metro station nearby. The neighborhood was full of appealing stores and cafes. As others have said, the elevator is so small both you and your luggage won't fit, but the staff will bring it up to your room. The bathroom is well equipped with a cart for your toiletries, terrycloth robes, fluffy towels, and good quality amenities. If you like to read in bed, though, you might want to bring a booklight. The safe and mini-bar refrigerator are welcome additions.
