We are from NYC, staying in Paris for 2 years. We were looking for a decent place for Chinese in our neighborhood and were having difficulty finding something authentic and tasty... until we found Lim's place! Thank you, Lim's - we've already eaten here 6 or 7 times! The 5 dumpling variety plate is delicious and served piping hot ; it includes ha gau (a shrimp dumpling), pork shumai, shrimp shumai are our favorites. There's also a chicken dumpling and a veggie dumpling to round out the bamboo steamer. The price is very reasonable (6 euros for 1 of each of the 5 dumplings or 5 euros for 4 of the same dumplings). The rest of the menu is pan Asian (Thai basil chicken and some saffron rice dishes) and are also very good. This restaurant includes complimentary rice (white, fried rice, or saffron rice) as a side with each dish, which is normally not the case in Paris!
They have menus in English and in French and the proprietor speaks both as well. The restaurant looks small on the ground floor, but there is additional seating (sufficient for larger parties) upstairs.
