Our last night in Paris we stumbled onto the quintessential Parisian neighborhood restaurant. Soufflé is the name of the game in this place. Philippe greeted us at the door. Then left us in the fine care of his wife for service. The place is small but there was a good mix of neighborhood folks and tourists. And we were made to feel very welcome. We all started with the special entree soufflé of basil and goat cheese. Yum! The main course does not offer a soufflé. I had scallops which were cooked perfectly. Dessert soufflés included pears with chocolate; pistachio with chocolate; salted caramel; and Gran Mariner which came with a bottle of the luscious orange goodness. Everyone cleaned their plates. These light, lovely pots of deliciousness were perfect.
