Description: It opened in January this year at the location of the former Kiwi Corner restaurant. It has been rated on thefork.com website at 8.2/10. We've eaten there and found the restaurant to feature classic French cooking, extremely well prepared in a small congenial restaurant across from the Luxembourg Gardens. We sampled the dishes and found all of them very good to excellent. Nice choice of reasonably priced wines too. I particularly liked the Grand Marnier Souffle. The best part is the very reasonable prices which are shown on the thefork.com website.

“What a great find!!”

Our last night in Paris we stumbled onto the quintessential Parisian neighborhood restaurant. Soufflé is the name of the game in this place. Philippe greeted us at the door. Then left us in the fine care of his wife for service. The place is small but there was a good mix of neighborhood folks and tourists. And we were made to feel very welcome. We all started with the special entree soufflé of basil and goat cheese. Yum! The main course does not offer a soufflé. I had scallops which were cooked perfectly. Dessert soufflés included pears with chocolate; pistachio with chocolate; salted caramel; and Gran Mariner which came with a bottle of the luscious orange goodness. Everyone cleaned their plates. These light, lovely pots of deliciousness were perfect.

“Food is wonderful! ”

Excellent food and great service. The owners try to speak English and provide a great time to costumers. There are 2 options: entree + main course or entree + main course + desert. Is expensive, but worth it. Go for the soufles - They are a piece of heaven.
Only problem is that they have overcharged me and I only realized after I was gone...

“Sublime souffles!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 17, 2014

Fortunately, we learned of this small and intimate gem from reading Trip Advisor, and it exceeded our expectations for our final dinner in Paris. Most of us reveled in the spleandor of Philippe's lobster bisque souffle for a starter. I had the duck breast, prepared to perfection with au gratin potatoes and a dabble of foie gras. The rhubarb and berry coulais souffle for dessert could inspire a musical: A Minnesotan in Paris. Philippe emerged from the kitchen twice: first to welcome us and then to check on how we enjoyed his delicious meal. We genuflected in its greatness! Thank you, Philippe. This was a meal and experience we will not forget, and made my sister-in-law's birthday truly special. It's reason alone to return to Paris as soon as possible.

“How can it not be among the 20 best in Paris”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 17, 2014 via mobile

Most of what this restaurant is about has been appropriately described by other better critics in this and other travelers guides. But I believe it does deserve a particular mention. I am not sure how the system works with having one waiter (who also happens to be the maitre, the sommelier, the telephone operator and everything else oher tnan in the kitchen...), but just does and it does so wonderfully. The room is small, which makes it cozy but the tables are not ridiculously close as they are in other places. Reservations are critical because this is a place known for splendid souffles, which to those who understand the art of cooking, is an especially difficult feat. My daughter and I had an absolute blast in this place, and the very reasonably priced, well selected, wine list always helps.
