We contacted via the website and were offered a 4-course/4-wine pre-paid dinner at Le Bis. 75 Euro per person.
The food was good - although nothing exceptional. The wines too.

Service was very friendly but really inefficient. It was as if they weren't ready for us and we had to explain to the staff what it actually was that we pre-paid for. Eventually, it got a bit tedious and we ended up not even receiving the last glasses of wine which were supposed to come with the desserts... It just isn't fun reminding the staff so many times that you have pre-paid for wines which were not offered or served in time with each dish.

The couple seated next to us ordered from the regular menu not having reserved via the website. They paid maybe half of what we did (for one less dish, granted) and had a much wider selection in the menu to choose from. If anything, I'd recommend you do that and not pre-pay for a narrower selection, some of which you stand a chance of not receiving at all...

Dear client,
We are sorry to see the staff was not up to accompany your wine dinner on this evening.
We mean both serving the right wines at the right moments, but also to give you the keys and explanations on wine and food pairing, which is also part of our wine dinner.
We have reported your experience and we will take care this will not happen again.
Sorry again and thank you for your feedback !

We had a very enjoyable evening wine tasting with Alexis at the Pharamond. It started with a lovely iced champagne served in the cellar after which we moved upstairs to a delightful room overlooking the square. We then tasted 2 whites from the Loire while Alexis explained about the flavours and grapes - followed by 2 reds, a beaujolais and a bordeaux. These were accommpanied by some delicious cheeses and charcuterie. We ended with a delectable sweet wine which tasted of lychees!! Overall an excellent evening and something different to do in Paris.

I've been there several times already (Alsace, Bourgogne, Italy, South America, USA...), it's always a pleasant experience and we learn a lot from Alexis.
Selected wines are excellent and you will for sure make unexpected discoveries, even if you know wines from around the planet.
Feel free to come alone, with family or friends, you'll always be welcomed by the "teacher" and have a good time with others around some tasty millesimes.
