Stayed at Le Robinet d'Or mainly on the back of fellow Tripadvisor reviews and as is usually the case was not disappointed. As others have commented this is a very good hotel and rooms at a reasonable rate. The hotel was easy to navigate to from the Gare de Nord and took around the ten minutes. Receptionist very friendly and helpful (as they were throughout our stay). Our room was on the top floor and was surprisingly - for Paris - spacious with a lovely bathroom (bath and tap attachment shower but excellent water pressure etc). There is a restaurant downstairs that was drawing in plenty of punters and we had a lunch and a dinner there which were both excellent. Breakfast was good but choice slightly limited, fresh baguettes, croissants, cheese, meats etc but more than adequate. A slight gripe for us on the sunday morning and with Eurostar departure beckoning was that the breakfast was not available from 0700 as advertised. The freshly baked stuff did arrive 15 minutes later and we were able to do an impromptu take away but think the hotel might alter their times to avoid inevitable angst when going for an early start.
Still all in all very pleased with our stay and hope to return soon.More
