“The whole of Paris at your feet!”
Reviewed October 17, 2012

Don't let the queue put you off - it moves quickly and you are soon on the viewing platform taking in the fantastic 360 degree views of this lovely city. I don't like heights - but am so glad I persevered with this one!

“Fantastic views”
Reviewed October 16, 2012

Visited the tower on our first night of a city break. Arrived just at dusk so could still see some of the landmarks but watched as the lights of Paris developed. No queues, pleasant staff, very fast lift! Did not eat in the cafe on the 56th floor but there are lots of good places to eat in the area. Well worth the trip especially as the 92 bus takes you virtually to the door.

“The forgotten view of Paris”
Reviewed October 14, 2012

We were lucky enough to stay within easy walking distance of Montparnasse Tower, so decided to time our visit with dusk. Non-existent queue - just a short wait for the elevator. Up 56 floors in just over 30 seconds. Viewing floor suitable for wheelchair access, however a short flight of stairs brought us up to the real highlight, a very secure feeling (as I don't like heights) outdoor 360 degree viewing area. The view was spectacular, even if the night wasn't the clearest. Then the magical twinkling of the Eiffel Tower! Wow!

“No queue alternative to the Eiffel Tower”
Reviewed October 13, 2012

We visited the tower as part of our 'alternative Paris' trip. Having been up the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe on previous visits we wanted to do something different this time. Unfortunately we picked a cloudy day and consequently could see virtually nothing from the top. That was our own fault, we were warned before we went up and the ticket price is reduced. The animations are very good on the screens, so we enjoyed it anyway.

If you've never been up the Eiffel Tower, then you should go there - but if you have this is a nice alternative.

“Amazing view of Paris - go at night!”
Reviewed October 11, 2012

We did this on one of our last nights in Paris. Very cool! Not that expensive and a very neat experience. Service in pretty much any language you want and a speedy elevator to the top.

They take a welcome picture when you arrive that you can purchase later, but it's not worth the price. There is a short video to watch about the tower and surrounding monuments, as well as some interactive activites. There is also a gift shop and a small cafeteria.

What makes it worth the trip is the outdoor observation area. You walk up a small flight of stairs from the indoor room and you have an INCREDIBLE view of Paris. You can see pretty much all of the major monuments and it's great for breathtaking pictures. We went up at night so we got to watch the Eiffel Tower light up and then shimmer, which was just as incredible far away as close up.

Bonus is that the Tower is open quite late (11 PM) so if you're looking for something to do in the evening, this is a good option!
